Overall

The office staff is always so nice pleasant and quick. Once I got to the office I was greeted with a smile. I filled out my paperwork. Sat down and within 5 minutes I was called back. The assistant asked me the reason for my visit and also asked was there anything else I needed to be seen for while there. After she left I waited for maybe 5 to 7 minutes before Dr Henson came in. She addressed my issues and also gave me handouts for my condition and information on sun protection and sun screen! The assistant gave me samples and rebate cards for my medications. I had to call the office that afternoon bc my insurance had to get approval for my medicine. I did have to leave a message but the office called me back a couple of hours later and told me they would file the preauthorization with the insurance and call me back with their decision. She said if they didn't approve it they would change it to something else more affordable and she even asked if I had enough samples to last for a few days and I told her I did. She called me back a couple of days later saying it was approved. went and picked it up and with rebate card it only cost me $10.00!!!!

I feel this office is well managed and provides awesome care for their patients. It is nice to see a doctors office go out of their way to help a patient.

Overall

I have been a patient here for several years. Recently, I was seen and was told I had acne. I am 24 and have never been diagnosed. While I understand acne can come at a later age, I was sure I was not suffering from acne. I was first told that I needed to be on an antibiotic for 2 months. I was uncomfortable with that since they weaken the immune system, cause yeast infections, and stomach issues so I was told a cream would work instead. I was certain I had a staff infection and had to ask for a culture several times before given one. I was given several medications to treat my "acne" and eczema, which I have suffered with throughout my life. I filled the prescriptions, but didn't use the acne medication. A day later my "acne" cleared. This medication cost me close to $100. I used the eczema cream on my face as directed. The following day, my skin was neon red and peeling. I called this doctor's office 5 times before they returned my phone calls. They advised me to not use the medication anymore which was a no brainier and to use Vaseline. I spend a total of $150 for them to tell me to use Vaseline. Unfortunately no other dermatologist can see me for another month so I am forced to continue using this doctor. I was contacted yesterday (3 weeks after my visit) and was told my culture came back positive. Surprise, surprise. What exactly it came back positive with, I am not sure. They didn't say, but I am assuming yeast. I have called 4 times between today and yesterday and finally just decided to come up to the doctor. They are trying to see if I can be seen. My skin is hurting, burning, itching, neon red and flaky.

This doctor office has never given me any problems prior to this visit but the fact that it took a culture, 3 weeks to come back, when it usually takes 2 days, is ridiculous. I understand misdiagnosis is common, as it is a "practice" however it's also absurd that I have to call a total of 10 times, and still get no phone call in return. In order to be seen, I had to come up here and be firm with the receptionist. They need more staff, and a better office manager.
