Beware of this company

I had a very bad experience with this company on Mother's day 2016. The driver was rude not to mention he failed to hook my truck up properly. He stalks the area to try and make a buck. The police had to be called and they could not even get through to him. My neighbors tried talking to him about dropping the truck since it was mother's day and he was not having it. One of my neighbors then approached the driver to see if he would drop the truck. He went from $100 to $150 then $200. She told him she had $150 and he dropped my truck and stated "ya'll act like this is a black lives matter issue". Mean while the police and paramedics are tending to due to chest pain he is still making rude racism comments. My truck now has issue's with wheelbearings



So please think twice before putting yourself in a situation with this company.

WARNING: American Towing attempted to tow my brother's car and it appears that the car wasn't hooked up properly and rolled off the tow truck while in their possession causing extensive body damage. American Towing owner Corey Albertson could not provide valid insurance information (we called the number he provided and it turned out to be bogus) and then threatened that the only way he'll work with us is if his repair guy can do the body work. At this point his whole operation appears gravely suspicious. We tried numerous times to contact him throughout the past 3 weeks to resolve this, and he only got aggressive and unresponsive. We called the police and he was unwilling to accommodate the police investigation. The police office himself became irritated with him and his lack of willingness to be forthcoming and offered to write up a report and fine him for various offenses related to his lack of cooperation. From what I can tell, American Towing is registered as a DBA and looks to be run out of owner Corey's house. Would you trust a DBA business run from someone's home? BUYER BEWARE.

One of your large nasty street hogging trucks is always parked on my street, this truck not only takes up 3 car parking spaces but it leaves a big puddle of something everywhere it parks, You may not park this on residential streets.

Per South St Paul City Code:

Sec. 58-102. - Truck parking restricted.



(a)



General rule. A person may not park a truck upon the public streets adjacent to any residence or any property zoned dwelling district or multiple dwelling district except for the purpose of loading or unloading, or transacting business at such residence or any residence in proximity thereto and then only for such period of time as is necessary to load or unload or to transact such business. As used in this section, the term "truck" means a truck, a tractor, a truck-tractor, a trailer, a semitrailer and a bus as those respective terms are defined in Minn. Stat. ch. 168. The term "truck" does not mean a trailer coach as defined in Minn. Stat. § 327.14(2), and does not mean a single unit truck with an unenclosed box (generally referred to as a pickup truck) having a gross weight not exceeding 10,000 pounds. As used in this section, the term "residence" means a building or structure used or occupied as a single-family dwelling, a two-family dwelling, or a multiple dwelling, and the land used in connection therewith.

Curb and street. A person may not park a tractor, truck-tractor, or semitrailer between the curb, or curbline in case there is no curb, and the street right-of-way line in any dwelling or commercial district, except for the purpose of loading or unloading and then for only such reasonable time as is necessary to load or unload.

Professional and courteous. Courtesy calls with updates. Driver saved me a tow by troubleshooting my car issue, saved me time and money. THANKS. Especially because he had to drive to the middle of nowere to get to me. Service with a smile. Thanks again

I understand that towing is sometimes a necessary evil, but at least do it legally and safely. American Towing has been seen in our neighborhood on more than one occasion driving with headlights off at night. Trying to snag a parked vehicle in violation without waking the owner. This is not only sneaky, but dangerous.
