Elia's Iron Works

All I can say is that any 5-star review for this business is probably from family members. This is by far the worst company I have ever tried to do business with. I wish I had read all the Yelp reviews before going to them. Elia's was recommended to me by my brother-in-law. Several years ago, Elia's did a fair amount of ironwork for him, and by all accounts did a good job. I don't know what has happened to this company since then, but now they are horrible.

In June, I stopped by the shop to discuss building an exterior door. Octavio came to my house that evening took measurements, quoted a reasonable price and took a deposit. At that time, he said the door would be ready in 3 weeks. Five weeks later, no door and not even a phone call to explain the delay. I had to call Octavio to find out what was going on. I was told "no problem, slight delay, door would be ready next week". Next week came and went with no door and again no phone call. Four more weeks elapsed with more excuses, more promises and still no door. On two separate occasions, Octavio set up specific install dates. On both days, he was a no show and did not even have the decency to call and cancel.

Finally, after getting the run around for 9 weeks, I called Octavio and demanded that he return my deposit.

I don't know how this company stays in business. I have never dealt with such poor customer service.... Actually, there is no customer service at all. Save yourself the aggravation and take your business elsewhere.

I recommend them! I had a side gate done along with two security doors. I took my own design that I wanted to add on to the door and it came out great. I get a lot of compliments. speak to Juan he gives you a lot of recommendations with in your price point. He will not be pushy onto selling you the most expensive door. They definitely outbid the other two companies I called!

10 years ago i got bought a fence from elias iron works. They gave me a the best price on it and a wonderful service. Now in 2009 i call them again to get a gate made. after all those years they still have good prices and good service and the quality of their work is real good. I recommend this company to anyone that wants to get any metal work done.
