$65 for diagnostics, waived if you choose to do the work with them. This is a lie. What they really mean is we are going to charge you $65 for a visual look (not diagnostics which people always associate with a report of some sort) at your car with no proof that we did any kind of work (checklist signed off by tech, report of outcome of inspection, etc.) and you are going to believe us and pay us $65 or we will not release your keys back to you. Every single place you go a diagnostics mean hooking the car to a computer for a printout that shows any engine problems. When you have an electric problems, the standard at places like Goodyear is they will do a thorough visual inspection of battery and case condition, Electrical cable connections get examined and adjusted and Engine diagnostics may be necessary to troubleshoot sophisticated systems or complex electrical problems. When you tell them charging $65 for a visual inspection is ridiculous and their response it "I should have taken a picture of the tech doing the work so you can see he did do the work...i.e. take our word for it!"...run! This is such a rip-off. NO other respectable place would pull crap like this. Ever! When you ask them to show you something, anything they scramble to find something to give you..in the end an invoice for the charge. In the hopes of showing they have any customer service skills they offer to have the "inspection" repeated where you can watch the tech do it so they can show he really did do his job. When I confronted the supposed owner/manager whatever she is and the tech, they said well with an electrical problem you can't hook up to the computer. Well, apparently Goodyear can. Reporting them to BBB next since they refuse to refund the money.
