Neighborhood Dental Clinic - 26th Street

I moved to Sioux Falls 6 months ago and was looking for a dentist's office to just get X-rays and cleanings done at. This Neighborhood Dental office happened to be the closest dental clinic to where I live that accepts my insurance, Delta Dental. I had my first appointment there today for the most painful and bloody dental cleaning in my life, by an extremely sweet and nice (but clearly inexperienced) dental hygienist who had 3 times longer experience as surgical technician than as a dental hygienist. On hindsight, that probably explains why she was unfazed by the amount of blood that came out of my gums as she did her work, though according to her my gums were healthy, no ginvigivitis, so they weren't especially prone to bleeding (and I never have bleeding when I brush my teeth). I am used to having dental cleanings that are only rarely or occasionally painful, and I don't usually spend the entire cleaning tasting my own blood, and then see the bood on my bib thing.
