Came out to fix an issue with my water heater the same day I called. The service man was super nice and walked me through what he had to do to fix it.

Fantastic customer service and maintenance work! I had them come out to my house at 6 in the morning so they could fix the problem before I had to go to work. They answered and responded to my call right away and they were out there in no time. I was also able to save money on the call and i wasnt charged for an emergency fee! This is a great place to go

I'm giving this company only 1 star because of their deceptive sales. I had a furnace installed and was told by the salesman that I was going to have 5 years interest free financing. But I was charged over $900 in fees. When I asked for an itemized bill I was told they didn't give out itemized bills. So I don't know what I was charged for the furnace and what the labor cost. Also I was guaranteed that the furnace was energy star rated but when I asked for the paperwork showing that so that I could use it when I filled my taxes I was told the papers would be mailed to me. Still haven't received anything. My furnace was installed 11/23/2015 and I'm still waiting. My next option will be to file a complaint with the BBB.

OK so I am going to be totally honest when I write this review so you will know I am telling the truth. When me, my husband and daughter came home on Friday (12/12) our house was freezing, our furnace was not running. It was late so we really didn't even consider calling anyone, needless to say I am very thankful for electric blankets to get us through the night. The next day my husband looked through the mailing flyers and found three places to call. He called all three places to find out the cost of a service call and me being cheap told him to go with the lowest one. Well let me tell you my cheapness paid off because we got Eric. He came right out to our house and told us what was going on with our furnace and how we were better off buying a new one since ours was 20 years old and not worth dumping the money into it. He was so upfront, honest, friendly and funny (we actually felt like we made a friend after all was said and done). He then sent out Vance and Shawn to install our new furnace and A/C (yes both were old and decide to just do the full Monty). Vance and Shawn were awesome! They were so professional, nice and yes also funny. They were at our house around 2:30/3:00 and didn't get done till almost 10:00 but never had anything but a smile on their faces and did whatever had to be done to get the job done and installed properly the first time. So bottom line is, me and my husband are thankful for my cheapness or we would never have called Service 1 Heating, Inc. and met these wonderful people and the great service we received. We will now be using them for all heating and cooling services and we would be nothing but honored to recommend them to anyone who needs something done. Thank you SO much Eric, Vance and Shawn for everything and keep up the GREAT work! Happy Holidays to all of you and your families! :)

I couldn't be more pleased with the service I received from Service 1 in Plainfield. The salesman, James, clearly explained the various options for an entire system and helped me choose options that best fit my needs. The installers - Ken, Vance, Adam, Aaron, and Zack were all professional, courteous, and clean. I had never, until that point, had an installer in my home that put down drop cloths the entire way from the door to the area of work - and Service 1 did just that. I literally had zero cleanup after they left. They were fast; the work was very well done and neat. And the real mark of a good company: there was one minor hiccup in the work - an issue they addressed immediately and painlessly - with zero pushback. I will also mention that their pricing was the best of the bids I received - by far. Trust me - these guys should be on your short list of people to consider. I would absolutely recommend them to anybody seeking HVAC.

Shawn and Mike were wonderful as was Eric. They were all excellent and professional in handling everything. I would highly recommend this company and these three people.

Service 1 has been our choice for replacing our furnace and a/c unit over the years. Aaron and Vance were great. They spent a lot of time at our home working on our furnace and were professional and friendly. I would highly recommend this company!

We started using Service 1 when our furnace went out last year -- they were able to replace it the same day. We've also had other miscellaneous duct work done by Vance, and we are very pleased with the results. He went over our various options and helped us choose the best thing for our house. Everything is done quickly and professionally and at a good price!

Highly recommended. I got a quote from the big name company in the Chicago area and then called Service 1. Their price was way cheaper for better equipment. The big name guy couldn't match it, even though they advertise price matching. Within a couple hours of calling Service 1, they were bringing the new furnace into the house. Vance and Shawn did a great job putting the furnace in on St. Paddy's day. Vance and Zack came out yesterday to finish the job by putting the new A/C in. I'm very satisfied. These guys go the extra mile.

Our gas furnace was acting up so we called around. A friend of ours had used Service 1 and was very happy. They were very fast. The technician Erich did a very good job at showing me the problems and also answered a lot of questions. He was able to get the installers (Shaun and Carlos) in the same day to put in my new furnace. They were very professional and did a very clean job.

Shawn and Mike did an awesome job. Had my new system in in under 2 1/2 hrs, walked us through the new thermostat, and stayed until it was warm in the house. Highly recommended.

My wife and I had been away from home for 2 days. When we returned, our house was freezing cold, it was 28 degrees outside, and only 46 degrees inside. I picked Service 1 randomly out of the phone book and gave them a call. I told the dispatcher my problem and she said she would contact the tech and call me back within 5 minutes with an ETA. The return call came in less than 2 minutes and she told me the tech would arrive within 1 hour. He arrived about 20 minutes later. The tech, Eric, inspected the furnace and found the problem within about 10 minutes. He explained the problem and my options. Since the cost of repair would be more than 1/2 the cost of a new furnace, I decided to have a new furnace installed to replace the 12 year old builders spec furnace. Eric started the ball rolling right away and told me they had a furnace in their warehouse, the installers were on their way to pick it up, and they would be at my house within 1 hour.



The installers, Shaun & Mike, arrived within the alloted time and began working immediately. Two hours and fifteen minutes later, my new furnace and thermostat system was up and running.



I must say that everyone I dealt with at Service 1 was highly professional, friendly, and courteous. No time was wasted in dispatching a tech, getting the new furnace to my house, and getting it installed. I am very pleased with the whole experience and I highly recommend Service 1 if you have heating or AC issues. They definitely went "above and beyond".

These guys were GREAT!! Our furnace went out Tuesday morning, and Jim was at our house by noon. We scheduled an install for Wednesday and everything went smooth. The installers were friendly and clean, and we had heat within a couple hours. Everyone we dealt with at Service 1 was professional and courteous. I highly recommend this company to anyone needing any HVAC work done.

Service 1 Heating and A/C not only gave us the best deal on our new furnace and a/c, but their attention to detail and the customer service is outstanding. Erich and his crew were prompt and professional, and spent most of the day putting in the new equipment. The basement and utility room had no signs of any large equipment being removed; the walls and carpet were unscathed. Even the cardboard boxes were removed from the site. Erich has been easy to communicate with, as we've had a few questions since the install. If we knew how exceptionally QUIET our new furnace would be, we would have done it 5 years ago!! Thank you! We'll definitely be passing the word.

I rencently called this company late at night on behalf of my mother who had no heat. Living out of town i was worried of the service she may get,,,,,,Well let me say this, AWESOME best describes Erich. After repairing my mothers furnace and taking the time to explain all to her, he the called to put my mind at ease. As he left my mother made mention of the garage opener light was out, he took the time to replace it at no charge to her, she is an elderly women......I WILL RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ALL!

Called at least 7 times countless messages and no show! After reading the positive reviews we were happy to find someone close to home. A waste of a Saturday morning.

Came back from being out of town (June 2012) to find AC not working right in the middle of a hot streak. Found YB ad for Service 1 and read reviews and did a BBB check. Responded to call with a few hours and came out late in day without whacking me for any additional cost for doing so. Had me up and running in 30 minutes. Took time to give unit a once over after repair. While finishing up I come to find out that one of the owners (Gordon) was the person doing the repairs. How many owners would be doing that !!! Impressed the heck out of me. I know where my first call goes to when I have a problem now. Last. I came across old paperwork from similar repair in 2010. That outfit charged me twice as much for same work. So there prices are good as well. My thanks to Service 1 and Gordon.

Had a new trane a/c installed. Very pleased with the outcome!! Would recommend to family and friends!!!
