General Info

Operational for more than 200 years, the Shepherdstown Fire Department offers emergency medial and fire prevention and suppression services. Its ambulance features basic and advanced live support systems. The department has a rescue engine, truck and tanker. It also operates Barron Hall, which can accommodate more than 245 people for wedding receptions, parties and banquets. The department offers emergency response services for various incidents. It administers the Live-In Program, which provides accommodations that feature semiprivate rooms for participants. In addition, the Shepherdstown Fire Department offers firefighting and rescue training classes. The department conducts several fundraising events. Its equipment feature pumps and roof and ground ladders.
