The company s state-of-the-art manufacturing processes build each custom unit to ensure customer satisfaction. Mammoth was founded in 1935 when the Brown Sheet Iron and Steel Company opened its doors and began manufacturing industrial-gravity and forced-air furnaces in an old brownstone building in St. Louis Park, Minn. The company had a modest beginning, but an explosive expansion took place during World War II, when Brown became the supplier of the largest industrial furnace on the market.
