DON'T USE SCANIO!!! I scheduled a moved with Scanio for 6/1/13 after receiving the recommendation from my broker, who is a trusted friend. My broker, who has provided me with excellent recommendations in the past, could not be more wrong about Scanio. He specifically told me that they weren't the cheapest movers out there, but that they were the best. Well, not only were they NOT the cheapest, they were NOT the best- more like the worst. They quoted me for a 5 hour move with 3 guys for 9:00 am on Friday. I told Yohai, the consultant that there was no way that they would need 5 hours to move me from my current apartment (420 sq ft and an elevator building) into my new apartment (550 sq ft w/ an elevator) that was literally around the corner- less than half a block a way. After all, they only had to move an armchair, small table w/ 4 seats, a bookshelf, dresser, side table and 15 boxes. I hired the "couch mechanic" to move my sectional sofa later in the day, so they wouldn't have to worry about that. I was estimating it would take more like three hours max, because that was the amount of time my

Bottom line, don't use Scanio. Unprofessional, expensive, slow, and incompetent. Never again.

My move with Scanio was spot on. Used them for a local move in Manhattan. Everything was perfect with incredible attention to detail. From the estimate with Nir, to the prior day pack up, to the move itself...every step was done with total professionalism. Absolutely no damage and the four men were all a pleasure to interact with. Also hired them to do the unpacking. They even made the bed! That's what I call service. Highly recommend and will use them exclusively. No wonder my new building, MIMA, recommended them first on the list of movers they suggest

Nothing was damaged, finished in a good amount of time, very respectful of my property, a little pricey but it was worth it.

They worked efficiently and moved everything from my old apartment to my new apartment and assembled everything as well. I was quite pleased with their hard work and would recommend them to anyone looking for a mover.
