Overall

I really like this doctor...I brought my Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law to him when they first moved to Scottsboro, AL , after that I brought my husband to him, now I'm in the process of switching over to him myself.

He TALKS to you and LISTENS to you , which my present doctor seems to have forgotten how to do. He put my relatives at ease and was open and inquiring during their exams. My husband likes the fact that Dr. Wayne is doing the tests on him that we think will lead to finding his problem.

The ladies that work at the front desk are polite and friendly, the nurses are great!

I'd definitely go right on recommending this doctor to anyone searching for one.

Overall
Waste of my time

First, 3 weeks ago I called to find out what they charged to remove a sebaceous cyst since I have no insurance I wanted to know in advance what to expect to pay in cash. I was to told accounting would call me back. No one called me back, and since they are working different towns on different days it was a week before calling them again to ask the same question which was answered at that time.

At that point I said okay set me up an appointment to have 2 sebaceous cysts removed. Nikki set me an appointment for today. That was 2 weeks ago. I arrived 1/2 hour early and was told that I might have to come back that he may only do one of the them today. I was asked to pay the cost of having only 1 removed in advance which to me was a big red flag but I paid it. Then I waited until 1 hour past my appointment time before asking for my money back and leaving. These are simple procedures that could both be done in about 15 minutes by any general practitioner.

A couple other people in the waiting room were saying that it always takes a long time there to get called and then you wait a long time in the back. At least 1 woman had been there for 2 hours (her appointment was for 1 & 1/2 hour before mine) she left before me without being seen. This was an elderly lady using a walker. Personally I considered it very disrespectful that they would schedule an appointment for an elderly woman using a walker to get around and keep her waiting 2 hours only to have her leave and have to come back another day to wait again.

I was there for 1 hour before any patients were called in or any came out. I considered everything and decided that if that's how they disrespect their customers, that they may only do 1/2 of what I went there for, the fact that I had other things to do myself, and that my time is just as valuable as theirs is, that I may as well take my money elsewhere and get it all done at one time like I had planed on in the first place.

The people working behind the counter were very friendly and polite.

Bottom line is plan on spending a long time waiting here and maybe not even getting what you came for.
