Scott Paint was acquired by Ramer Equities of Baltimore in 1998. The company owns 24 factory-direct stores on the west coast of Florida and manufactures more than two million gallons of paint every year. Scott Paint manufactures a wide variety of products for residential, commercial and industrial use. The company serves homeowners, professional painters and contractors. Scott Paint s products include acrylic and enamel primers and sealers for wood, block, stucco and other substrates; latex and oil interior finishes in a variety of sheens; acrylic and enamel exterior coatings in flat, satin, semi-gloss and gloss finishes; elastomeric wall coatings; deck and floor paints, stains and sealers; roof coatings; industrial-grade epoxies; yellow and white traffic paints; and patching compounds and caulk. The company, based in Sarasota, Fla., was founded in 1965.
