Visiting Nurse and Hospice Care, located in Santa Barbara, Calif., is a nonprofit provider of home health, hospice and personal care services in south Santa Barbara County. It provides nursing, rehabilitation, nonmedical home care services, palliative care, and support for those facing life-limiting illnesses at home or at Serenity House, its six-bed residential hospice house. It also offers bereavement and grief counseling to anyone facing terminal illnesses. Home care services include nursing; dietician; home health aides; and physical, occupational and speech therapy. The health care provider also offers personal care, such as bathing and grooming, meal preparation, medication reminders, dressing, grocery shopping, and companionship and conversation.
