Mr Appliance

My clothes washer pump broke Thursday night full of water. Mr.Appliance was the only repair shop that responded to 24 hour emergency service. They said the repairman would be out around 5 on Friday and I would receive a call when he was on his way out. I confirmed that I would be home by 430. I ran an errand and of course the repairman did not call and came at 2 ish. Fortunately he did come back out. After finally diagnosing the problem, he ordered the part and used my shop vac to drain the water and said I saved him 2 hours of work. I am allergic to mold and it was nice to find a huge pile of wet towels laying on the floor of my small laundry room. .I saved him two hours and he gave me 3 hours at the laundromat washing all the wet towels he left on the floor in a pile behind the door without saying a word..

The part was ordered and service scheduled. My husband took 5 hours of vacation time to be home for the service call. He never showed. I confirmed that we were on the schedule but it was not until 5 pm that the office confirmed with the serviceman that my part did not come in. They said he should have called and rescheduled but they would be happy to have either myself or my husband use a full day of more vacation time to wait at home from 8 am to 8 pm for the part and the serviceman to show up the next day.

So the best Mr. Appliance could do for me was offer 20.00 for wasting a half day of vacation. Really? Both my husband and I earn well over 20 an hour and we do not have time to sit around waiting because no one thought to reschedule a service call when the part did not arrive. They confirmed an appointment time that would never happen and did not even apologize for the wasted time.

My machine is just over a year old and the msrp is about 688.00. They are charging me 357.00 and wasting my vacation time because it is too difficult to call me to reschedule for the part. Wow.

Think twice before hiring this company.
