Anytime Fitness

My husband had should surgery and double knee surgery within a matter of months. He addressed it with the current manager and was he could cancel his membership due to the extended amount of time he would not be allowed to work out. Months later the "new manager" emailed him informing him that the membership had never been canceled and that he now owed past dues.

Needless to say, things escalated and we found ourselves talking with a "gentleman" named Ben New who was equally unhelpful. He finally offered that if we had our Dr fill out a form a fax or mail it to them they would cancel our memberships but still charge us an "early termination fee of $50" and any past due fees they felt applicable.

This shady representation of a gym is money hungry and knows absolutely nothing about customer service.

For me personally, the day my husband and I first walked in to the gym, I noticed a reeking stench of mildew. The manager quickly threw prices at us and wanted us to sign on the dotted line. I stopped him in his track and asked for a tour. He literally said, "Sure, go walk around and check it out."

I was out from that moment on. My husband pushed through and signed up. I don't need to tell you how much he regrets that now.

Thank goodness we have Golds Gym coming to town. We had a membership with them previously. We had given them $800 for personal training and then loved to San Marcos.

THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS SO GOOD THAT THEY CUT US A $600 CHECK IMMEDIATELY EVEN THOUGH WE WERE STILL IN THEIR 30 MILE RADIUS.

So run from Anytime Fitness as fast as you can!

I take negative feedback very seriously and don't post it lightly. I wish I never went to this place ... LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES AND STAY AWAY!!!



I wish there was a way to leave a negative rating FOR Anytime Fitness. I went there over 3 years ago, bought 3 a week training sessions for a year and a half. I quit going over a year ago after experiencing my second injury here while training under supervision of the staff. FIRST... achilles tendinitis and then a shoulder injury that caused limited mobility in my rotator cuff that I am still recovering from. I would let them know about my injuries when I was at the facility, and decided it was in my best interest to no longer use the services they offered. I didn't stop their auto draft until I changed cards... and today, I found out that after all the money I spent here that I have been reported to a collection agency for services that I did not use.



I left this service with two injuries and now this business owner has DAMAGED MY CREDIT SCORE, and caused me a significant problem. UNBELIEVABLE!!!

They're straight up crooked. If you have any brains, you'll never sign a contract with these cretins. Do not do business with them. You'll be sorry, sorry, sorry. It may be a decent gym facility, that's beside the point. You can get that elsewhere, and you'll be better off. Because if you find yourself in a contractual relationship with this business, you'll need a lawyer to get out. They use intimidation, extortion, collection agencies, obfuscation, and out-and-out lies to avoid working with someone who wants to end their contract.
