Can I purchase one of those “Do It Yourself” kits and install a garage floor for less than a SpartaFlex garage floor?
Garage Remodeling
The typical do-it-yourself kit uses a weak acid wash to prepare the concrete floor to accept the floor coating. Even if this acid wash is done correctly, an acid wash is the least desirable method to prepare a concrete floor to receive a coating according to the experts. Your best case? A do it yourself floor coating will typically last just 1-3 years before it begins to either show extreme wear or peel and flake. We are removing dozens of 1-3 year old do-it-yourself floors every month and installing new SpartaFlex garage floors for people that made the mistake of trying to save a few bucks on their garage floor coating, only to find that these “kits” just don’t perform the way they had hoped.

New Construction
A prestigious southern California university constructed a new commercial kitchen and needed a kitchen floor installed to meet new construction codes. They had an aggressive construction schedule and were unable to allow more than a few days to complete the project. We installed the ¼” floor including a 6” integral cove finish in just 4 days using SpartaFlex and SpectraQuartz “Forest Green” quartz products. The floor features non-slip walking areas and smoother, easy to clean sections of the floor beneath the kitchen equipment.

Driveways
Last week your considerate and professional crew applied a Sparta Flex coating to my 2-car residential garage. I had chosen the grey base color with grey, white and black flecks. POP POP! My garage faces 4 neighbors that share a common driveway and they are all duly impressed; so too is my extended family that has come by to see the results. The 35 year old cement floor showed a lot of wear and tear through many previous owners over the years. Now it looks great and is easy to clean. One of the major selling factors was the one day installation. Although it was a long day, I parked my vehicle on it the very next day.

Gutters
In southern California, many homes have latent moisture issues caused by any number of reasons. First of all, any home built before the early 2000s probably does not have a vapor barrier beneath the cement slab because the Building Codes didn’t require them before 2003. Secondly, even if your home is not topographically challenged (ie: located at the bottom of a large hill), many homes in southern California do not have proper gutters, downspouts and landscape drainage systems installed to properly channel surface water away from the foundation. As a result, a large percentage of homes in our region have moisture issues.
