San Clemente Rentals

Horrible! Borderline unlawful business practices! Beware- they will give you a low quote but will up the charge on the day of the event and threaten to reclaim rentals if you don't pay! We were hosting a dinner to honor local veteran at the high school and we are a non profit parent booster club. This is they 5th year of the event and the 2nd year we used SC rentals. When I called and ordered I asked for the same things we ordered last year. I was told that last year our non profit wasn't. charged properly and the cost would be slightly higher. Our group agreed because we wanted exactly what was used last year. And then on the day of the event after the tents were delivered I got a call from Anna that they would have to charge me an additional $150x 2 for delivery and pick up because delivery was a "hard access" not an easy access. And if I didn't pay the fee immediately they would come reposse the tents immediately! We didn't move the school- they delivered last year to the same exact place. When I told Anna that I was at the school all day with other volunteers setting up and didn't have access to a fax machine to sign the additional charge and that I would have to call her back on Saturday she would not relent. I finally just had to hang up. She had Gigi call me back- who proceeded to scream at me and call me a liar for not telling them it wasn't easy and a horrible person for trying to ruin her business. After listening to her rant for a full 5 minutes I hung up and had another volunteer call her back. Our non profit group ending up having to pay an additional $150 directly from the funds raised in a school fundraiser, and we were late getting dinner served to the veterans and their guests because of the 2 hours we lost setting up and having to deal with Gigi. We will never use SC Rentals again and are going to file a claim with BBB and SC Chamber of Commerce.
