I have been a steady customer here for DECADES! I suspect the negative reviews are BS submitted by other tailors because I have never ever had a problem or been overcharged once and Lord knows I have tested this place. In addition to altering suits, dresses and other apparel, I have had them create fine mesh hunting blinds, sewn buffalo robes, even create a custom facemask in snow camo. Moreover, I am a fairly demanding customer (read my other reviews) so you either hafta be awfully good or awfully bad to get a review out of me. I've needed one day and same day turn around several times and not once has Alex's ever declined. To put it simply...they are the best around and I know because I have used all the tailors before discovering Alex's. This is the tailor you wanna tip well because they will never let you down. I have given them plenty of opportunity to disappoint me-they never have. Great shop. The Best!!!!!

I've taken several dresses and pants to this shop. They do quality work, incredibly friendly people. A bit pricier than most, but you get what you pay for. I've taken my performance dance dresses here, as well, and the work was always top quality.

I strongly recommend that you avoid using this vendor.



For something as simple as sewing services, he made complete mess of the experience and work.



Here's a quick overview of my experience:

1. poor quailty of work. just plain sloppy;

2. Causes problems with billing;

3. Doesn't follow through on his agreement to send bill;

4. Didn't follow through on our organization's repeated requests to send a bill or at least tell us how much the bill was, who to make the check payable to, and where to send the money;

5. When we finally got the vendor to give us an amount, it was several hundred dollars more than the expected amount beccause he increased the rate we had agreed to without doing anything more.



Save yourself the headache; go somewhere else!
