Overall

I gave this place one star for having a pulse, but anything other than that would be a miracle.

My Marshall amp has sat in this place for 2 months with no feedback whatsoever. This visit was considered a call back, because they didn't get it right the first time...so they owed me!

But alas...I only received excuses for delays when I stopped by or called to to check on it!



I'm heading there today to rescue it so that I can take it to take it to a competent repair shop in Austin.



At Mr. E's, there is absolutely no evidence of customer service nor is there any evidence of technical competence. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way.



DO NOT TAKE YOUR GEAR HERE FOR SERVICE! It's a Waste of $$, Time and Patience.

DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS UNLESS YOU LIKE WASTING TIME AND MONEY!!



This business is a damn joke that is full of incompetent people and I have no idea how they stay in business.



I took my amp head in for a buzz problem and paid $35 for an estimate. Two months went by with no word. I finally called them and they said they couldn't find a problem...



I went there and showed Tracey(owner) the issue and he said it was a bad preamp. I couldn't believe I was told they couldn't find a problem and then Tracey spots it instantly. I told him to keep it and fix ASAP. Well, another month goes by and no word.. I call again and they tell me they need to order a part... I told them forget it and I'll come pick it up.



As I was on my way, Tracey called and said it would be fixed in a week guaranteed. He said it was because they had too many repairs, so that's why it took so long. But why would you keep taking on repair jobs if you have too many???



4 weeks goes by and I don't hear anything. I finally got fed up and said I was coming to pick it up. Of course, Tracey calls again but I denied him this time.



I also noticed when I got my amp back that my tube some how broke off inside the slot. I KNOW IT WAS YOU TRACEY BECAUSE YOU'RE THE ONLY ONE WHO MESSED WITH MY TUBES!



I will never ever go back to this joke of a business. Hard to believe that century music recommended them but whatever. Really sucks that they wasted my time but it hurts even more knowing they got $35 bucks out of me for nothing.

Mr. E's great place to get gea...

Mr. E's great place to get gear fixed. Would not take my gear anywhere else. Have been dealing with him for 5 years and gotten all my gear fixed there. He has fixed keyboards, amps, guitars, mixer boards, speakers, drum machine, and even chords for me. He had some personal problems and problems with employees stealing from him but now he is focused and all problems behind him. Inquired about angry customer and turns out cat pissed on her circuit boards. He got the keyboard fixed and she still will not remove the review. He spent over $200 in parts fixing the Casio keyboard and she will not review her June 2010 review. Tracy is a great guy. He gets all my gears fixed within 1 to 2 days unless parts take longer.
