Great service, Friendly and on time! The Salesman helped me understand what the competition was offering and when I contacted them he was right! I got what I wanted and the work was better than what I saw from the others. If you call anyone else, be sure and talk to City fence before you buy.

Recently, my neighbor and I shared the cost of replacing our fence, in the Stone Oak area. We used City Fence Company of SA to install the cedar privacy fence. The finished product is very nice & both of us are pleased. I would therefore recommend City Fence to friends, family, or anyone for that matter.

Don't figure I should beg someone to take my money. Set up appointment with Gordon, got his cell number and he never showed. Called twice after and never returned my call. Can't imagine how you stay in business.

I have been doing business with City Fence Company of SA & Ben for nearly 30 years. We have had cedar privacy fences installed. We have found City Fence to be very dependable, honest & fair prices. His workman are on time, professional, friendly & clean-up is what I had expected. I would highly recommend this company to friends, relatives & whoever needs a good fence!!

I've had two residential privacy fences built by City Fence Co. Both times they were a pleasure to deal with and did quality work in a timely manner. While they are not the cheapest in town, the installers and quality of materials they use is first rate. I will not hesitate to use them again and would recommend them to anyone looking for a quality fence done right and for a fair price.

We called a handful of fence contractors out to bid our job. We had one simple request for all the bidders: replace a stretch of our existing fence with the EXACT same fence. City Fence was far from the low quote, but we were swayed by the good reviews they brought out. After a thorough site visit, we were prepared a detailed estimate. They ASSURED us the quote was for the same fence. After a two week delay install date finally arrived and it wasn’t until the installers came out with the material that they realized what they came with was not going to match the existing fence. That’s when they started mumbling about needing to quote higher as well. We were told they’d get back to us and that they’d do the right thing: honor the quote they gave us and get back ASAP with the right materials. It took another WEEK before the salesman came back in person. We were SHOCKED to see they were now proposing to do the fence for nearly DOUBLE the original quote (which now made it 128% MORE than the next highest quote!!). All because the (9) posts had supposedly been quoted as treated lumber and not cedar. Now I don’t know what cedar posts cost over treated wood, but I doubt the difference could be over $1950 for 9 posts!! Being in a bind – and trying to work with what was obviously a new saleperson on the verge of tears apologizing for his mistake, we offered a compromise: we SPLIT the extra material cost, or, at least, suggested they don’t try and profit from their mistake. The salesman conceded it was the right thing to do and said he’d go back to the owner to amend. We never heard back.



Now, based on some of these other reviews, we acknowledge we may have just had a VERY BAD, isolated experience with this company. But what they did – and how they handled the aftermath of their mistake – was POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE at best, and UNETHICAL and DECEIVING at worst. A really bad experience with this company. And two 1-star reviews in a row. Proceed with this company AT YOUR OWN RISK!!

I called to get a fence repair estimate, I got stuck in traffic and was 15 minutes late and the Rep did not wait or call me before he left. The following day, I called to reschedule this time we did meet and the Rep took down what I needed and took measurements, he left telling me he would get back to me with exact price quote the next day- that was 3 weeks ago, still have not heard back. This is totally opposite of what these 5 STAR reviews say about this company. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

In June of 2011 City Fence Co of San Antonio built a new fence around my back yard. The fence is 300 feet long.



City Fence Co of San Antonio did a fine job. My lot is shallow dirt over solid rock. City Fence Co of San Antonio used a jack hammer to cut through the solid rock, and they set the pressure treated posts in concrete. Then they installed cedar planks six feet high, giving me a privacy fence which will last many years. Perhaps one day the cedar planks will need to be replaced. I believe, though, that the pressure treated posts set in concrete will continue to serve for many years after that.



Several men were on the job each day. They were polite and considerate, and they completed the fence in less than a week. I happily recommend City Fence Co of San Antonio.

I requested a quote from City Fence to erect a new fence and the quote was provided by Ralph Williams within a day of my request. He arrive at my house and explained the contract/cost/time line, etc and the job totally exceeded all of my expectations. Thanks Ralph, to you and your installers, for doing a superb job. I give 5 stars to this company and would highly recommend them to anyone wanting to have the experts complete the job!! Thanks!!

I am the owner of Website Designing Plus and I had a problem at my home. I was able to keep my dog in her own yard with the small chain fence I had, but suddenly I had other larger dog jumping into my yard and terrorizing my dog in her own yard. It was a week before Christmas.



I call several fence companies, most did not even return my calls. City Fence not only returned my calls but were very polite and explained everything down to the tiniest detail. When they came out to build the fence they were very respectful and professional. When they were done, any and all messes were cleaned up. The workmanship on the fence was excellent and beautiful.
