General Info: The YMCA of Greater Salt Lake is a nonprofit organization that maintains a presence in Salt Lake City. It offers Camp Roger, which includes various activities, such as horseback riding, campfire skits, arts and crafts, hiking, archery and sports. Its after-school program includes skills development, dance, visual arts and drama classes. The YMCA of Greater Salt Lake also provides various programs for children between the ages of 5 and 12 who live in family shelters. It also maintains school clubs that offer sports, science, games and adventure activities, as well as homework assistance and tutoring services. The YMCA of Greater Salt Lake organizes fundraising events that provide financial assistance to program participants.
