Consumer's Original Complaint :

After expressing displeasure about buyer negotiations, Jorge Prado (owner) called and engaged in insulting, juvenile, high-pressure sales tactics.

On May 8th, 2013, I received a call from Jorge Prado as a follow up to interactions that I had with one of his real estate agents (the agent was professional).



The interaction was regarding a home in St. George, UT and my desire to move on since the seller was not willing to engage in more than a horse trading style negotiation with a series of written offers as the frame for the negotiation.



Jorge called and began with a series of insulting, canned sales tactics to try to get me to do what he wanted, which was to put in a second offer. Among other things, he called my stance "silly," told me I clearly wasn't "serious," told me to decide if I was a "real buyer" or not...and that a real buyer would put an offer in. He also told me how "business is done."



The foregoing, among other aggressive tactics, were very off putting, particularly when I expressed having been highly trained in business, law, and negotiations at top 10 institution of higher learning. To this he stated that he "didn't care what (my) resume says" and that he is from a world where "all that matters is results." So, the 'result' of this is a complaint to the BBB regarding unprofessional, offensive sales tactics. I hope others will have the chance to read my comments, as I don't think anyone else should have to deal with Jorge Prado again.



Consumer's Desired Resolution:

That Jorge Prado exits real estate or at least stops having client interaction...since he clearly doesn't respect those that he does business with.
