Tony's Restaurant-Shields

I have been a loyal customer to this Tony's location (Shields) for the past 17 years. However, after the horrible customer service I received at this location yesterday (7-12-17) I will not be returning there. My daughter and her 3 friends decided they "had to have" steak sandwiches and fries from Tony's. Since I had a busy work schedule we called in the order and drove to pick it up. The bill was $46.80. I gave them $55.00 for the food and a tip for the staff that got the order ready. When they brought the food back out to my vehicle I had them check to make sure everything was there. The fries were missing. OK - no big deal, go back in and get them. The girl at the counter then proceeded to tell my daughter that she did not order them. That she could not refund the money because the manager was gone. That she was having a horrible day because she was only 5 hours into her 10-hour shift. I had a business call scheduled so I left knowing I would call and get it straightened out afterward. When I called - apparently the manager "just walked in" and I was placed on hold. After being on hold for about a minute the girl came back on the phone and stated the manager has a meeting and would call me back. No call now after 24 + hours. A problem so small could have easily been handled in the restaurant or on the phone afterward. This very poor customer service treatment has now lost this location our business. I would advise to anyone ordering takeout - to double check your order before you leave the restaurant & before you leave an $8.00 tip as a thank you for getting the order ready. I have learned my lesson and am very disappointed in how this location handles situations which could have easily been remedied.

this tonys is very cheap on there portions compared to the other tonys around town, do youirself a faver and go to another tonys!

The service was fine here. The food was okay, nothing special. It irritated me that everything cost extra. Overall we got the same amount of food as a value meal from a fast food place, for almost twice the price.

(review is for saginaw locations and midland) Ridiculous prices! Owner ROB RAMONE is a scammer- just makes up prices when he thinks no one is watching especially if you're a female. Tried ordering a cheese omelet with just one meat...he tried charging me 9 DOLLARS FOR IT!! WHEN THEY HAVE A MEAT LOVERS OMELET FOR 1.50 LESS AND A DIFF MEAT AND CHEESE OMELET FOR OVER 2 DOLLARS LESS!! THIS GUY IS A PUNK! Oh and they charge almost a dollar for cheese...and let me tell you, you get NO CHEESE ON YOUR HASHBROWNS WHEN YOU pay for it, and even if you do its only covering 20 percent of your hash- one time my friend asked for extra chz on her omelet and I am not kidding- there was no chz on this sucker...I mean it was unbelievable. the bread is always dry and the portions NEVER JUSTIFY THE PRICE!!!! Even if you give them 20-30 min to make your meal they skimp on portions, and/or can't get the order right. Bottom line- this is a grease ball drive thru run by a grease ball guido...oh I can't forget about the tartar sauce they give you too- its disgusting and you get literally 1-2 tbsp for FOUR 3-4 PIECES OF FISH!! He is just a cheap, no integrity, slimy money hungry jerk! LOWER YOUR PRICES ROB and/or start serving food in a timely manner/produce better homemade food/get order right/have integrity with prices you charge and the portions /quality of food you serve...this joint is pathetic and IT'S MUCH MORE WORTH IT TO go to dennys, lil chef, big boy, bob evans ect, MAKES no sense to wait for food or order from tonys, all those places do takeout and will even bring to your car. SHAME ON YOU ROB FOR BEING A SLIME BALL, LIAR AND treating female customers like dumbos.

I wouldn't waste one penny in this restaurant. I was in there one time waiting for my food, and of course it was taking forever as always, my waitress never refilled my pop or my wifes coffee. The waitresses stood around and talked in the corner and we're not pollite either. the restaurant is Not as clean as it use to be and we seen the cooks AND girls handling raw meat with bare hands and not washing them before they Begin to touch other things. after the long wait for our food we were excited once we got it and figured it'd be extra good considering the wait. it was not. it was horrible. non off the workers took pride in their work or food. and I save the best for last but in the kitchen not only could we hear everything we heard the owner Frank Goodman start to yell at one of the waitresses for bringing food back that they had cooked wrong and blaming her. he continued to yell so the hole restaurant could hear and using profanity and calling her a r*t*rd and telling her to learn to do her job right and to get the h*** out of his kitchen if she's going to be so ignorant. I got up and proceeded to the door and left. I don't think I need to even mention that I will Not be returning to spend my money tjere, nor will I be giving his new place in hemlock a chance either.

Tonys, in Shields has the best steak Sandwiches and best service in town. I would go every week if i could!

Don't waste your time or money here. They never get our order right. We won't be back. Will drive the extra distance to the Tony's on Center in Block Plaza. (Didn't want to give them even 1 star...)
