Nothing wrong with the way my hair was cut, but it was just a simple trim so anybody could really do it. BUT the "receptionist" or "owner" depends on who you ask, was terrible! His shirt was stained, he is condescending, all around rude. How dare they put him as he face of their business.

Went there despite the reviews written ..So glad i did Megan McDougall did a great great job I for sure will be going back...And Kayla did a great job on my daughters hair too..The customer service was great ...

Never have I ever been treated so poorly as I was at this salon. I have been searching for a new spot for some time now and this will not be my final stop. Not only did they mess up my color but then the girl had to have two other girls help her...then when I was checking out the guy charged me for the extra color that she messed up!!! Good luck staying in business, I give you maybe a year.

Save your money for a worthy local business. The place was cute for my 5 year old daughtor maybe. We came in for one of those feathers and they gave me the run around the whole time, the girls there seemed inconvenience by our request so we decided to check other locations. My 5 year old thought the decor was cute so I decided to try it again, for her. I called to make an appointment for a childs cut and the guy on the phone was so rude to me I hung up and tried another day thinking he was just some uneducated fill in. I try back another day and he answered, again was very brash the whole time making me feel like I was dumb for not knowing what they charge for a childs hair cut so I asked for a manager. He proceeded to tell me that he is the owner of the Salon which I was baffled by considering his unprofessional demeanor. This all for a simple childs hair cut, I could only imagine what kind of atrocious behavior I would have to put up with for any other kind of services recieved at this horribly ran establishment.
THINK TWICE ABOUT WHERE YOU ARE SPENDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY.

Atmosphere is a little bit over the top. All I heard while I was getting my haircut was bitching and complaining from all of the workers. (Alex was great with my hair, this in no way reflects her!!) The owner I believe was the older woman who was being very unprofessional with her conversations in front of customers. And why did the receptionist approach me about the government and taxes instead of ringing up my bill? I'll stick to Grondin's.

as soon as i walked into the building i couldn't believe how much detail was put into the salon, its such a different atmosphere then any other salon i have ever been too around the area, i came with intentions of having the basic experience you would get at your normal shop but i was wrong! i was blown away by the great customer service from them hanging my coat, drinks & complimentary free eye wax!!!!!!!!! my stylist was marissa - young, sweet & spunky!!! i will for sure be coming back for my touch ups!!! you guys rock

What an awesome place! First of all, the interior is hip and chic as well as their stylists. Not only did I enjoy the 90's music but my Stylist Megan McDougall ROCKS! I couldn't be happier with my experience at Hippie Chic's!!!!

I would recommend anyone to this salon. I just went on Saturday with a group of 5 girls for wedding hair appointments, and the bride looked amazing as well as us four bridesmaids. The girl's were so personable, and very friendly. We joked, laughed and left looking beautiful! I am actually planning on changing this to my new salon. It is also really cute inside and they provide alot of extra's for you as well!

I made an appointment at this hair salon with Erica. From the beginning, Erica did not seem really confident of her skills. There was one other stylist named Jackie that gave her advice on what type of bleach to use on my hair. FROM THE BEGINNING, I told Erica that I wanted HIGHLIGHTS ONLY ON MY ROOTS! She began putting the bleach DIRECTLY ONTO MY ROOTS WITHOUT ANY HIGHLIGHTING FOILS! I noticed her mistake right away and told her again that I only wanted HIGHLIGHTS not FULL COLOR! SHE TOLD ME "IT WAS TOO LATE TO DO HIGHLIGHTS BECAUSE SHE ALREADY APPLIED THE BLEACH DIRECTLY ON MY HAIR." (SO THE FIRST MISTAKE WAS STRIKE ONE). My hair was shampooed and dried. I paid and went home. When I got home, I realized my hair looked a little YELLOWISH and brassy. I called the next morning and asked Erica if she would put a toner in my roots. She told me to come in that morning. When I arrived, Erica passed me off to another stylist (JACKIE). JACKIE SEEMED VERY ANNOYED AND SHE DISPLAYED AN ATTITUDE OF THAT WAS QUITE APPARENT TOWARDS ME! JACKIE PUTS THE TONER ON MY HAIR REALLY FAST. SHE LEFT THE TONER ON TOO LONG AND NEVER CHECKED IT ONCE! SHE LEFT ME AND FORGOT ABOUT ME! HONESTLY THOUGH, SHE DIDN'T FORGET ABOUT ME. SHE JUST DIDN'T WANT TO CHECK ON MY HAIR BECAUSE IT WAS AN INCONVIENCE AND SHE DIDN'T CARE. (STRIKE 3) Finally, a 3RD stylist named Jill (who was the only one who seemed to care) rinsed the toner out. WHEN MY HAIR WAS RINSED OUT AND DRIED, IT WAS BLUE! ( STRIKE 4) I voiced my concern in a respectful way. THEN THE OWNER KRISTEN DEBEAU STARTS TO RAISE HER VOICE TO ME ASKING ME "WHAT DO YOU WANT?" AT THIS TIME, KRISTEN STARTED RANTING LIKE SOMEONE WHO WAS RAISED IN A BARN. SHE SAID THAT "THEY WERE THE ONES THAT WERE TRAINED TO DO HAIR IN BEAUTY SCHOOL AND KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!" THERE WERE OTHER CLIENTS IN THE SALON AND I STARTED TO GET EMBARRASSED BY THE OWNER'S BEHAVIOR! I TRIED TALKING TO HER BUT SHE STARTED BADMOUTHING THE WORK MY PREVIOUS STYLIST (JAY FROM SHAPER’S) HAD DONE TO MY HAIR. (STRIKE 5). AND IF ANYONE KNOW'S JAY AND SHAPER'S SALON, THEY KNOW THAT HE ROCKS!! THE ONLY REASON I STRAYED FROM HIM WAS BECAUSE HE WORKS AT U SALON IN FREELAND NOW AND IT IS A BIT OF A DRIVE FOR ME. BESIDES, I DIDN'T THINK AN EXPERIENCE LIKE THIS WOULD CAUSE SO MUCH HEARTACHE!!! NOW I AM EVEN WONDERING IF I SHOULD INFORM MY STYLIST JAY THAT HE IS BEING BADMOUTHED? THIS WAS SUCH A HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE THAT I REPORTED IT TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU!!!!!!
THIS SALON IS RUN SO UNPROFESSIONALLY IT IS REDICULOUS. NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I BEEN TREATED SO POORLY AT ANY BUSINESS ESTABLISHMENT! ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT THE OWNERS MAY HAVE GONE TO BEAUTY SCHOOL BUT IT HAS BECOME QUITE APPARENT THAT THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO RUN A PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS!!!!!!
