Overall
Fair- A few things to watch out for

We had the opportunity to hire Pro-Line Tile as they did about a 200 sq. ft. Kitchen tile floor for us. Steve is the owner and he was very professional through most of the project, and overall we are happy with the end product of the tile itself. We did unfortunately have a few issues though with Pro-Line. The grout was put on a little sloppy as they left excess grout in a number of areas including on the wall and tile face itself. We also chose to have inserts put in, and they were put in uneven and we had to request they be put in properly. They left a couple small holes in the wall behind out stove and refrigerator and instead of repairing the drywall, they threw thin set to patch the hole and we ended up having to paint over their mistakes. One big per peeve I had was they borrowed some of my tools to do the job. Myself working in the construction industry as a project manager, this is a huge “No-No” within the industry. You never ask to borrow clients’ tools to do a job in order to do the job you were paid and contracted to do. That is what you, as a client pay for is their labor, and the use of their tools, not your own. Their clean up was a little questionable as well, both inside and outside out house where they cut the tile and mixed the materials. Steve (The owner) also contracted out to another person he works with to move our dishwasher, and then replace it back once the floor was re-tiled under the dishwasher. When they took the dishwasher out, they never mentions we could not use our water in out sink, so when we did it leaked all over as the sink plumbing was hooked up to the dishwasher as a air release. When they re-installed the dishwasher, and we ran it through a full cycle it leaked. It had never leaked before and so we called Pro-Line Tile about the issue. Steve simply told us to call the guy he contracted to fix the issue. When we did, the guy said he would not come fix it for free. He would charge us at least $200.00. We called Steve (the owner of Pro-Tile) and asked him to return our call, and he never returned it to this date. That was over two weeks ago. Pro-Line Tile made another cardinal mistake by having us try to work out the issue with someone we never directly hired. Pro-Line sub-contracted this guy to remove and re-install out dishwasher. Overall, it is what most can expect from a smaller construction outfit. A job is never going to be perfect, but Pro-Line in our opinion made a couple big mistakes they never addressed. After everything was said and done, the tile looks very good, but allot had to do with the pattern and tile we chose as home owners, not the install. Overall I give them an overall grade of a C- to C, because of the workmanship and lack of professionalism and ownership to their mistakes. We would not recommend them to anyone due to these issues.
