It's a good hospital but I've been trying to get a doctor referral as I'm 6.5 months pregnant and nobody will help me. My insurance switched so providence won't take me anymore and I want to go here. I just want prenatal care, it shouldn't be this difficult.

My husband is having retinal surgery this morning. He is terrified. So, i dropped him off, took the kids to practice and whdn i got back to hospital they wont let me back to see him. He is sitting in the back on a bed waiting because surgery does not start for another hour and a half. I am sitting in the waiting room at the Children's Surgery Center. I have requested to go back and sit with my husband until he is ready for surgery. He is already sent me 2 texts how nervous he is because the physician has told him is very serious and that he could go blind. I am a RN, I requested twice now TO let me go see my him and their answer is is that they are checking his blood pressure, gowning him, and then, maybe then , will they let me go back and see him.. My husband has even requested that they let me back there. In my field of work we don't tell the wife or the husband that they can't see their spouse. Here is their service excellence and patient satisfaction phone number 248-551-0500

Fell in north parking structure on Monday, 3/14/16. Bonnie in security rushed me to the ER. She and the two doctors that put in 7 sutures in my forehead were the only professionals. I had blood gushing out of my forehead for 4hours before getting the CT Scan. I laid there bleeding with so much blood in my eyes that I couldn't see and never was told why I hadn't gone for the scan. Finally someone took me for the scan and told me one of the CT machine was broken. Guess which of the 2machines they put me at. Yep, the broken one. I was on my own moving from one cot to the other with no help and then had to position myself at the 2nd machine. An hour later they had the results and I could be sutured. I'm ready to leave and it took so long to get my discharge ThaI got dressed and told the nurse I was leaving. Got the discharge and was wheeled to door and was told I could take the shuttle to the north parking structure. Are you crazy!!!

A family member with a pain pill addiction goes to their ER often (4 times in 10 days). She was a patient there 2 years ago. The hospital always gives her Dilaudid and multiple CT scans. They don't seem to look at records, and have given her at least 6 CT scans. It's an addict's paradise.

Lying nurse got my husband blacklisted of any type of treatment all because my I complained about the nurse ripping tourniquet off his arm with an attitude. The nurse lied and said he was combative swore at her and swung at her. Absolute lie. I was there the whole time and witnessed this as my husband laid in the hallway next to soiled linen closest without being asked if he even wanted a blanket or possibly a pillow. After nurse lied there were 4 security guards and I went off on the lying nurse and was thrown out of hospital my husband could not walk and they would not let me use a wheel chair to get him to a car to go to another hospital. Dr.walters then proceeded to tell my husband after just meeting him it was his own fault he was getting the type of treatment he was getting and to grow up all because he heard about the lying nurse’s accusations. He also advised my husband was lucky he wasn't handcuffed or in jail. My husband was not treated at all had to take out his own IV and crawl out of hospital! #1 hospital in Michigan NOT!!!! Dr.Walters and that lying nurse and all the staff that did not stand by their oaths they took should all be fired. This was the first time my 48 year old husband had been to an ER in extreme pain. I will find out the lying nurses name. The head nurse Katie was very rude, patient advocate no help at all. and as the head nurse and 4 security guards came to make my husband sign a non-combative document Which he refused to sign because nurse lied. That same nurse was standing behind my husband bed (in the nasty hallway) making snide comments and mean faces at me. It took everything I had not to go at her because she lied so bad. My husband and I are very kind church going citizens and to be treated that was uncalled for. Shame on you Doctor Walters for believing lies and not treating my husband that was in agony and still cannot walk. Shame on Royal Oak Beaumont hospital for having people on staff that don’t take care of their patients in the ER.

They wouldn't help me. The er is crap. There rude. They are useless. I'm never going there again. They said I had a swallen lymph node at first. Then the second time in the er they did some work and said it was lipoma.told me to make an appointment. I did and went to it. The doc there told me it was shingles. It is not shingles. Yelled at me for going into the er 3 times. I told her it hurts more an more all the time that's why I went back. She barley looked at it and told me there's nothing she can do. To take meds and go home. She said she was sick of dealing with this. Dr. Asha Patel was so rude to me and my sister.

Upset Mother

I came to the triage to get some tests done and they left me for over 2 1/2 hrs unattended. They have time to talk about their Christmas plans but not to much time to check on their patients. The staff in triage is the worst I have ever seen in my entire life. Honestly how hard is it to open the curtain and say hey hows it going and check on the IV solution bag?? Obviously here it's rocket science that nobody has the brains for!!

They killed my newborn nephew

Don't go there at all. They killed my nephew. Most corrupt hospital in the whole United States to the point that they didn't even have a pediatric surgeon on staff, they contract them from u of m, they also gave my nephew the wrong medication causing my new born nephews heart to stop, so careless. Their intensive care unit for babies is terrible, I suggest you go to children's hospital in Detroit if you have a high risk pregnancy. Not to mention they never admitted their wrong doings, they're ignorant pieces of sh*t who are all in it for the money. Those nurses in the intensive care unit promised to keep an eye on my nephew and weren't in the room with him one moment, as soon as they seen someone from my

Family about to step in ALL the nurses ran to the room and started giving him shots and checking on him. Worst place to go, beyond corrupt, what I seen happen behind closed doors traumatized me. I will never step foot in a Beaumont. We left the hospital with a box of my nephews clothes & pictures of him & not him thanks to this un organized corrupt evil hospital. I honest to God suggest you don't take your child there. I wouldn't want another baby to suffer from this place. God bless each and everyone of you.

Negative ER Experience Made Positive

Experienced an awful ER experience which lead to my complaint for improvement. The courtesy displayed by the Customer Care Manager, Nursing and ER VP and the director was admirable. Not only did they follow up with me, I was given insight and details on what goals and actions were currently being used to improve the overall ER operation. From improved communication to personal treatment of the patient serious endeavors are in effect. Waiting time has greatly reduced without sacrificing patient care, in fact the reduction in waiting time improves care. I can say I would return to Beaumont confidently for any ER service.

no compation for medicare patients

When my mother was there with liver cancer, Beaumont was the only hospital that did radio frequency ablation and after several letters, emails and personal visits, the doctor finally agreed to do the procedure on my mother, however, he never came down in person to talk with her about the procedure. The other docotrs in the ICU at the time, 5-14-05, were very rude and the people who wanted to meet with us about what to do with the body were cold and calculating. It was a horrenous experience!
