STAY AWAY
THE WORST COMPANY EVER!
Awful customer service!!
Do your homework and read the bad reviews because they are ALL spot on.
This company will rob you blind!!
They do not approve the work being done before hand and will run your bill up..got me for over $800... i would have never approved any of it!!!
They will take advantage of every one of you!!
Had to get the police involved because of the childish behavior from the owner and co workers.
STAY AWAY

The owner (Jim I believe) is a super nice guy. Pleasant, easy-going, maybe a bit slower paced than optimal, but overall a good experience. Some of his staff on the other hand, not so great.

One of the main mechanics there, also Jim I believe, is kinda rude. Maybe I caught him on a bad day, but he was generally unhelpful when I brought a friend's CRB 250 Repsol Edition in, and was happy to flex that he knew more than me by telling me I was wrong when I mentioned a technical aspect of the bike.

Kevin was initially a good experience. Nice, pleasant, towed my wrecked FZ6 from the lot. I told him I wanted to fix it myself, but might be tight on budget. About 6 weeks later, after many phone calls continuously asking if he had an estimate yet, he finally came back with one. After I told him I couldn't afford it, he charged me for the tow and the estimate (which is fair) but refused to give me paperwork for the estimate. No detail on what was broken, no breakdown on what parts are necessary, no paperwork at all. When I asked him for documentation (this proves he actually did his job AND helps me with a paper trail when I need to resell the bike), he said he worked really hard to gain my business and wanted me to get it fixed there. I asked for paperwork two or three times again, called, and email, and still no paperwork with the same reasoning. He basically charged me $60 to tell me 6 weeks later that my bike was broken and would take ~$1.5K + Labor to fix it. Frustrated and upset, I took my totaled bike home, and got no help from anyone else from the shop.

This is one experience with this shop. Like I said, a few of them were super pleasant, but when it came down to the big money work, I totally felt under pressure and uncomfortable. I ended up fixing it with upgrades (R6 forks, aftermarket front end bar/controls/levers, etc.) for ~$1K with lots of forum and youtube research.

I don't know why others here had such a bad experience at Flying Piston. I took my 2006 Yamaha FZ6 there to have the plugs changed... I had installed Iridium plugs on it and it ran like crap afterwards, and one plug would not come back out for me. But they got it fixed with no problems. They also installed a new Michelin PR3 on the front, and fixed my sticking front brake lever issue. All of this at a very FAIR price, and with fantastic customer service, and it was ready the next day. They also informed me that I needed new steering stem bearings, which I already knew from the noise, but they did not pressure me to do it and I appreciate them notifying me about it because I may not have known about it. These guys were friendly and professional, and the shop was clean and well maintained.

BOTTOM LINE: I will definitely go back here for future service, if needed, and would recommend them to anyone needing fast and dependable service for their two-wheeler.

I had the WORST experience EVER at Flying Pistons!! I am new to the area so I didn’t know where to take my bike and I found this place online so I took my Harley to them. I needed two new tires, an inspection, and the brakes done on my bike.

They don’t charge per hour so you have no idea how much they are charging you per hour for labor. When I asked about how high the price was they said it was because they did great work and guaranteed their work. I had them do the job and when I got my bike back the brakes were done wrong and I had to take it back to them to fix it.

About a month later I was driving my bike to work and as I was accelerating to get on the highway the back tire locked up and I almost fell off the bike. I was able to get to the side of the road and found that the bolts on the back wheel had broken off and come out of there “supposedly, lock tight” place.

I called them to come and pick up the bike and about three hours later they came out to pick it up. I had to walk back home and get my truck. When I got to their shop they said that none of this was their fault and that I would need to pay for all the repairs.

I got my trailer and picked up my bike. I will NEVER go back to them!

Worst ever experiance...Only tried cause it was close to where i live when the bike stopped on me...Would never take my bike here again...Con man and will take all he can... And my bike still didnt get fixed....Went with a charging system problem and left with a 753.00 bill and charging issue not resolved...Had to get it fixed at another shop..He is going to nickle and dime you to death even down to 5.00 oil seal that probably cost .50...He is going to tell you how he warrenties his work..well so does everyone else and he will not be in business long enough to honor his word...He tells me I have a Stater problem...Then a bearing problem (How would he have known that because on the 06 custom you do not have to remove the crank case to replace the Stater) then he says he needs a gasket kit for the crank case (dah why you take the one on there of in the first place) then a front belt pully..oil seal for transmission...on and on and on..I took my bike on a Saturday he ordered the Stater on Tuesday (told me it would be in on Wednesday) and after a week and a half (im a patient person i guess) i had enough... For a Stater replacement...Psst pls.. (The other shop had my part on hand and i was in and out of there in 45 min)....My invoice gives all the line items for my parts but shows no unit hour for the labor..Why...because this work even if he had to rebuild the whole primary and charing system would not have been this much (I checked with three different shops, one of which was the harley dealer, and we know they high ball you)

So if you have money to just throw away...This is the perfect place for you...But if your looking for good dependable service pls pls pls do not go here, you'll regret it!!!!!
