Petland

My family and I bought a English Bulldog from this petland store last year. The store was spotless, puppies clean and healthy with clean cages, food and water bowls. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our dog has no health problems and never has. She is in perfect condition, beautiful dog. A dog that we NEVER would have found at any breeder. It's really a shame that this store closed. I will miss it as well as MANY people will.‎

My little girl wanted a bunny for her birthday, and she had found one at Petland a week before she loved to death and upon going the next week after alot of pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee mom. I decided alright the bunny was adorable and the owner so wonderfully helped us.What is the gender? I asked he said I will be right back, I am 98% percent sure it is a girl.Okay cool we will take it.Guess what ITS NOT A GIRL.And now it sprays and bites everytime it is in the mood for love and YES RABBITS ARE ALWAYS IN THE MOOD!!!! So I call for 2 weeks trying to get some kind of resolution, Just pay for the nuetering and all will be well, my daughter doesnt know yet.Well after 2 weeks of trying I was told we dont guarantee the gender because of the 2% that it might not be a girl.OH COME ON!!!!!!! THE OWNER TOLD ME IT WAS A GIRL!!! not some unknown employee the OWNER!!! but they will take the bunny back and give me half my money back..The bunny my daughter fell in love with,The bunny that sleeps in her room every night and gets fresh fruits and veggies.You try to tell her to give it back.ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!!!! So I have filed a complaint with the BBB in hopes of getting it fixed since the owner is not a good person.I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN AND I URGE EVERYONE NOT TOO!!!

Please don't support the cruelty of puppy mills. There are scores of healthy, happy puppies and adult dogs available for adoption at local shelters. Visit a shelter or try looking on www.petfinder.com.

Petland sells puppies from puppy mills. I know you all love dogs and would be horrified to what you'd find if you did a search for it on the internet, and Petland supports Puppy Mills!!! USDA Breeder is code for Puppy Mills. Ongoing Protest every saturday at 10 am.

Shut Down Petland!

If I could give this store NO stars, I would. Buying a puppy from Petland almost guarantees that you will end up with a sick dog. Petland Roseville buys their dogs from Hunte Corp or Lambriar Kennels. Hunte Corp and Lambriar Kennels gets their dogs from puppy mills. By purchasing from Lambriar or Hunte, they can state they don't buy from puppy mills. Go into Petland (wear surgical booties as they have had a Parvo problem) and look at the papers for several puppies. ALL of the puppies come from the Midwest. They will tell you that the puppies have had shots and are healthy, they are not. Ask Petland if they have had puppies with Parvo. Parvo, with treatment (about $2,000.00 for treatment) is deadly approximately 50% of the time. You are not rescuing a puppy if you purchase. You are sealing the fate for another sick and malnourished dog as they will be forced to produce a new sick puppy for another person to purchase. Please don't support puppy mills. Go to Google images and type in "puppy mills". Go to Google and type in Petland Hunte Corp. and read. Please be informed and don't shop at Petland. Tell Petland that you will not shop there until they stop selling dogs and cats.

I visited the Petland store this weekend, and was saddened to see they had over fifty puppies there, many are poor-quality dogs that look sick.



As an HSUS report has revealed, Petland is notorious for obtaining the puppies it sells from puppy mills, mass-breeding operations usually located in the midwest that churn out millions of puppies per year with no regard for the health or well-being of their dogs.



The dogs used as "breeders" live out their entire lives in filthy, cramped cages without medical treatment, socialization, human interaction, or adequate nutrition, producing puppies that are sold to brokers and then to Petland and other pet stores.



These puppies often suffer from genetic defects, parvo, distemper, behavioral problems from lack of socialization, and other serious conditions that will ultimately either rack up costly veterinary/training bills for their owners, or sadly, land these dogs in animal shelters.



BOYCOTT PETLAND. Do not buy ANYTHING from this establishment as long as they continue to sell puppies and kittens. Don't attempt to "rescue" the puppies you see there, either. The money you pay to the pet store will just go to buy another mill puppy, condemning the breeder dogs to a lifetime of misery.



If you're really tempted to buy, GOOGLE PETLAND CONSUMER AFFAIRS. Sick puppies don't make good pets...lots of customers' stories have such sad endings.
