Performance Small Engine Center

Purchased a new Ariens edger. While folding down the handle to the edger, the service person stripped the bolts and nuts with a power tool. should have just used a manual ratchet or adjustable wrench. Handed us replacements that did not fit when we got home. Drove 6 hours round trip for bad service.

Took a 22 hp mower there. Living in Virginia Beach at the time. told them, I did not want to spend over 200.00 is repairs. Went back to Va Bch. Called me a month later said it was ready. I go back to pick it up. Given a bill of 173.00+. Started mower and no change. They replaced belts, claimed to clean the carburetor; when started, mower was cutting out just like before I took it to them. Owner says, well you need a new carb or rebuild the current one. I ask how much. Total price was going to be just under 400.00. Older mower. Gave him my price and they jacked it up. Suggested they take their upgrades off and return my mower. He refused. Attorney sent a letter but still no progress. In the end I had to take to small claims court. Living in Va Bch and other states, I lost my mower. Will never go there again. Too many crooks and to much dishonesty. LCJC
