Our support of vaccination for all is based on guidance from the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine, American Academy of Pediatrics, and American College of Nurse Midwives. All organizations issued a joint statement on August 9th, 2021 and their recommendations remain true today. Their guidance is based on data from tens of thousands of reporting individuals that showed COVID-19 vaccination is both safe and effective when administered during pregnancy. The same data have been equally reassuring when it comes to infants born to vaccinated individuals. Also, COVID-19 vaccines have no impact on fertility.

Gynecology
Dr. Bullerdick enjoys traveling, especially to the lesser known corners of the world. He also likes recreating ethnic cuisine from his travels, but still considers Eastern NC barbecue one of his favorite meals. He and his wife are avid pet lovers and wildlife enthusiasts. Dr. Bullerdick joined Nash OB-GYN Associates in 2015 after his return from working overseas in Zambia from 2013 to 2015.

Dr. Hines is a native of Philadelphia, PA, but she spent her summers in Goldsboro, NC with family. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, practicing yoga, salsa dancing, and relaxing by the water.

Karen has been a labor and delivery nurse for 18 years which led her to the calling of Nurse-Midwifery. She is excited for this opportunity to serve the Rocky Mount community as a full scope Midwife at Nash/OBGYN. Her family consists of her significant other, a local real estate professional, who is equally excited to get back in the area, his two sons, and her 3 children. They also have a miniature schnauzer, Leia, and a recently adopted kitten named Venus. Karen joined Nash Ob-Gyn in July 2023.
