Pediatric Care
Pediatrics Tree Pediatrics is committed to providing high-quality care for the children in our community. Conversations that are related to billing and collecting money can be challenging, but it is important to know that we are an independent small business. Our business relies on ensuring that we are billing and collecting payments accurately and that we comply with our insurance contracts.
Primary Care
Please notify our office if you will be unable to keep your appointment. If you miss an appointment without notifying our office greater than 3 hours before your scheduled appointment time, we will consider this a “no show” and notify you with a letter that reminds you of our No Show Policy. If a parent has 3 no show appointments in a 12 month period, we may encourage you to find another primary care provider.
Ear Infections
Your health plan determines your co-pay for your visits. If your insurance plan requires co-pays, we collect the co-pay at the time of service, but it may be billed to you later if the type of visit changes based on what is done at the time of the visit. For example, if you have a Well Child Visit and additional E/M services are done such as for an ear infection, you may get a bill for your co-pay at a later date.
Family Practice
Dr. Wendy Lai is a graduate of Baylor College of Medicine and completed her residency training at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in 2013. She has been taking care of children at Baylor Family Health Center in Mesquite for 8 years and is excited to move her practice to a clinic that is focused exclusively on children. From premature infants to adolescents up to age 21, she thrives on building long term relationships with both her patients and their parents.
Emergency Care
For sick visits, we encourage you to call in the morning, before 12:30 for a same day appointment. We will make every effort to see your child on the same day that you call requesting a sick visit; however, later in the day, we may not be able to accommodate these requests. If we are unable to see your child on the same day, we will assist you in determining if your child needs to be seen at an Urgent Care Center or if we will be able to see you on the next business day.
Immunizations
Records Release INCOMING Authorization Form: please submit this form to your child’s previous health care provider prior to your appointment so that we can review records and immunizations

Autism
We are happy to discuss immunizations, their benefits, their risks, and your concerns about immunizations. There is no conclusive evidence that vaccines cause autism or toxicity, or that its components are harmful in the amounts found in the vaccines that we use.

For well visits, please call as soon as possible to schedule your wellness exams and sports physicals to obtain a visit with your desired pediatrician, date and time. If your child needs to be seen for illness on the day of a scheduled wellness exam, we can usually change the appointment type to a sick visit, but will need to reschedule the check-up.
