Ron was super responsive and made sure he was available to answer all of our questions before and after our home inspection. Because we used a VA loan, our home inspection process required a lot more coordination and attention to detail. Ron and his inspectors were thorough, extremely courteous, and very timely. I would highly recommend HTI's services.

Ron did the inspection and found no major problems. We bought the house and a year later, I have learned through other contractors that these are the things he missed, that were his official responsibility:

1. Several roof trusses were smashed and poorly repaired.

2. Electrical wiring was badly done and "dangerous" according to electrician.

3. Lower level and basement had been flooded many times previously; wood rotting, paint bubbling

Things that were his moral responsibility, if not official:

1. Asbestos tiling in basement, entire lower level, and kitchen. Basement asbestos was friable.

Do yourself a favor and find a good home inspector.

Where to start... Had home "inspected" by HTI and I have to admit I was completely not impressed. I went on a limb with the one five star review and was disappointed.

The Inspection was less than what I was expecting for the price. It seemed that the number 1 priority for the tag team of Ron and his young assistant (son maybe) was to be in and out as soon as possible.

The positive is that the inspection is sent via email with photos of what is described and possible solutions. If I had to do it over again I would definitely likely go with another company. He had missed some pluming items that were not up to code.

In all honesty, you could get two inspections with most other people for the price of one HTI, but you don't get twice the quality.

First off, they don't know what they're doing. Watch out, they don't tell you that using a credit card will cost your extra $$$. They're not experience and don't know left from right. There was a hole at the side of my house on the yard, and they couldn't identify what it was! They didn't bother to go on the roof or anywhere that would would take them an extra few minutes. They came in, took my money + some since I didn't have a check or cash on me and then left.

REALLY BAD INSPECTORS!!!! BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ron and his assistant Jessica were punctual, professional, and took time to answer all of our questions. Ron's report was easy to read and he followed up the next day via phone to see if we had any questions. As first time home buyers, his patience and knowledge was extremely helpful.

Wow! I am thoroughly impressed with the work that you (Ron) and your inspection partner do. This is a thorough home inspection. You allowed me the opportunity to pose questions and you gave me suggestions on how to maintain the property in the event I purchased the house. The report identifies all of the topics that you discussed with me in detail. Within the report you included photographs and labels (on top of the photographs), which make it extremely clear to the reader what you are describing.
