Wound Care - Therapists who specialize in the treatment and care of wounds remove unviable tissue (debridement), apply special dressings and prescription drugs/ointments, and use ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and aquatic modalities to assist in healing.

Manual therapy, which means our therapists pride themselves in a literal hands-on approach to your healing. A typical visit includes joint mobilizations, soft-tissue massage, muscle and nerve stretching and therapeutic exercises and activities. To get you back to or better than your prior level of function, we also use ultrasound, iontophoresis (when prescribed by your physician), e-stim ("electrical stimulation"), manual traction, movement and postural re-education, gait training, and ice and/or heat treatment as needed.

Physical Therapists

Sports Medicine
Since 2004, we have been assisting the training staff at Del Oro in assessing and rehabilitating athletic injuries. Now in 2021-2022, we're back on the field and supporting the DO Parent Club too. Chris has taken on helping educate the Sports Medicine team and assisting with injuries during his afternoons off at the clinic. He has also done injury prevention clinics for ladies and mens tennis, football and wrestling teams this year. We pride ourselves in returning injured athletes back to their sports as quickly and safely as possible.

The Learning Center is a place for you to find your physical therapy related answers from reliable sources. We have tapped into information from the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons to help you understand certain conditions. As always, talk with your doctor and physical therpist for specifics to your injury/ailment.

Our physical therapist are Manual Therapy specialists, which means they have a hands-on approach to treatment. Although soft tissue mobilization (or massage) is commonly used, there are many other techniques or interventions the therapists use.
