We've just purchased our first...

We've just purchased our first Honda and I had my first experience with this dealership when I had my very first appointment to install a couple of accessories for our car.



Pricing:

They charged me MSRP plus installation (basically, max possible $$$) which, I suppose, is because I didn't have the accessories installed at the time of purchase (and I did not purchase the vehicle from them). No discount offered. In fact, they didn't even bother to point me towards a coupon at their website that I could use.



Quality of work:

Both of the accessories appear to be installed and functioning properly. However, when the vehicle was delivered to me there was mud all over both the front floor mats, door sills and surrounding areas. It appeared as if someone walked inside my vehicle with a wet muddy boot. This was a brand new 2014 Accord Hybrid Touring taken delivery less than a week ago and yet they did not even bother clean up that mud. I was just speechless when I entered the car. I took the car inside their shop and asked one of the servicemen there to clean it, the person wiped out the mud from door sill with a wet paper towel (which "came back" after the water dried off few minutes later). He didn't even bother to clean any of the floor mats or look anywhere else. Service people in dealerships I'm used to have always used protective clothing/cover to keep vehicle clean and scratch-free. If fact, my Nissan dealer (next door from TK Honda) always provides a courtesy car-wash before delivering the vehicle to the customer. If the external work was so messy externally, one wonders what/how they've done inside the dash and other place in the vehicle that's not readily visible.



Service:

Another disappointment. When I asked for a shuttle service, the service person asked me to go the secretary and request one there. Minor thing but I felt like he should be making a quick phone-call to the appropriate person instead of having a customer go desk to desk. Something I've grown used to by other dealers but, I guess, too much to ask from TK Honda. When I came to pick up the vehicle, after payment was completed, the service person gave me the key and pointed me to the spot at the parking lot where it was parked. Again, it might be that my expectation is too high but, I was expecting someone to go through everything that has been done and ensure that the work was done to my satisfaction. I'd hope that either someone would walk over to the car with me or bring it to me and go through everything that has been done. Did not seem like a regular procedure at this dealership. Had this been done I could have at least shown the mud-slide happened inside my car.



At the time of delivery I also asked the person about buying tires, rims/wheels and a touch paint for the vehicle. He suggested that I go around the building and talk to someone from parts dept. Yet, another run around (sigh, again, should've/could've been handled better). I could write yet another paragraph about the experience I had with the employee at the parts desk instead, I'll just say this much - she suggested me to "do some research at TireRack" (which I have already done, btw).



Someone please tell me that my experience is not a norm at this dealer!

Overall

Andy Gostomczik did a great job. I worked with him over the internet and was able to negotiate a price and arrange financing so when I drove 80 miles to pick up the vehicle it was quick and easy. I highly recommend working with Andy. What can I say, a great car at a great price with great service! What more can you ask for.

Overall

I had a great experience at Tom Kadlec with Mike Danielson. After discussing on the phone what type of vehicle I was looking for, Mike had gotten one ready and had it pulled out front when I arrived. I test drove a few and he was able to answer all of my questions. He even made himself available when I visited another dealer to compare, and answered my questions honestly, which made it an easy choice to return and purchase from him (the first car I drove, which he had picked out for me!). He was not the least bit pushy, and was very patient with me. The finance team was able to get my payments lower than I requested, and Mike waited patiently after hours until everything was complete. He made sure the vehicle was cleaned and full of gas before I drove it off the lot a very happy customer!

Neal Moen was amazing! He was very helpful. Neal was able to answer every question I had. He was very upbeat and energetic which is hard to find in a car salesman. I love the Civic I leased and I look forward to driving it for the next 3 years. Thanks Neal for being so awesome!!

I had been having car troubles...

I had been having car troubles for quite a while, and had been putting off getting a new car until the last possible minute. When that time finally came, I was obviously in a bind and really needed a new vehicle ASAP. Kiefer really went the extra mile—within less than 48 hours, he personally delivered my new civic to me. The customer service at Tom Kadlec is unparalleled—I was treated like family, never felt pushed or pressured into anything, and always felt like I was receiving an honest answer to my questions. I would recommend Tom Kadlec to anyone that is looking for that extra effort and personalized experience.

Ask for Neal Moen! We've purchased 4 Hondas from Neal. He's energetic and keeps working until the customer is satisfied. Today he personally delivered the Honda we bought for my son. He always goes the extra mile. I hope he keeps selling Hondas, I'd hate to have to go down the street to another dealer.

I just bought a Honda CRV 2012 from Mike Dahl at Rochester Tom Kadlec Honda! He was so confident with explaining and answering my questions that I felt completely comfortable buying a car from you guys. I've been car shopping in the past other places and have felt pressured, treated stupid, & rushed. The experience with Mike Dahl was quite the opposite. He was not only professional but very personable. He noticed I was worried that my phone died so he went around the offices to find an employee that had a phone charger I could borrow without me even asking him to! We did MANY circles around the parking lot because of my indecisiveness & in no way did he make me feel rushed. Because of my experience with Mike Dahl, I will definitely be buying from Tom Kadlec Honda in Rochester, MN in the future & referring him! I live 2 hours away but it is totally worth the drive to work with such a knowledgable, non-pushy salesman. When I decided what car purchase I was going to make, Mike Dahl made it fun because we were both super excited together! I would recommend Mike Dahl to anyone/everyone that wants a down-to-earth, knowledgeable, non-pushy person to help them car shop! He should be considered a very valuable employee for Tom Kadlec Honda! He should be employee of the year! :) Thanks a bunch for the great service Mike Dahl!!!!!
