What the other guy said. 90 days notice to move out, no matter what. Today, I walked in 89 days (as opposed to 90) before my one year lease was up to give my notice. The landlady not only refused to accept my move out notice, she told me that since i was ONE DAY late in giving my notice, i was already signed into a second year's rental agreement. I never signed an agreement for anything more than one year, and was informed by the same landlady that after my one year lease my rent would be month to month. Poor maintenance, bugs, terrible communication....maintenance workers would just walk into my (locked!) apartment without asking, once waking me in the morning. Looks like I'll be headed to court with the landlady. DO NOT MOVE IN HERE.

The most poorly managed place I have ever stayed, and I once stayed in an apartment in Indianapolis that had a few actual crackheads as tenants. Still managed better. In my first year at Brandywine, I was sad to see their landlady of many years retire. After that, they couldn't keep a steady landlady even a full year. If you try to get ANY sort of paperwork done such as adding someone to your lease, it takes months. In my case 5 months. By that point I just gave my 90 days notice to move out. That's right, 3 full months no matter how long you've been there or how good of a tenant you are. However, if you are a troublemaker you can get evicted right away and not have to worry about paying the rent every month until they find a replacement tenant. Oh and you can't get someone you know to take the lease over, they have to go in the order of which apt was vacant first, so yours might be #15 on the list. Its like a trap they lure you into so they can take you to court and get more money out of you. Every time I went to speak to the landlady she was on her way to court. There was a roach problem too. Had several crawl on me in the middle of the night. For what you pay its probably a little better than a jail cell. Sign a lease here at your own risk. It is such a relief to be free of that place.
