Mr. Randy Garvin proved exactly how unprofessional, rude and deceitful he is and subsequently lost a potential customer through his actions. I really do not understand how such a highly rated Angie's List company failed so miserably.
I called during business hours on a Thursday and left a voicemail. Mr. Randy Gavin returned my call four days later, the following Monday, and left me a voicemail. I returned the call about an hour later and after an individual answered the phone, "Witt Fence Company," I simply asked with whom am I speaking. Randy again said, "Witt Fence Company." I said yes, of course, but what is your name? Rather than stating his name, Randy then replied with, "What is your name?" At this point I asked myself why is he being such an unkind person but I gave my name and questioned why he is not able to give me his name and he said "I told you, this is Witt Fence Company." Unbelievable. I then asked if I am indeed speaking to Mr. Witt, to which he replies, "Yes." I then ask if his name is Rod (because that is what I thought he had said on my voicemail) and he said, "No," to which I said I would call him right back. I then listened to my voicemail again to get the correct name and to confirm that it was the same voice. Indeed it was Randy Gavin. At this point he was not only rude in not answering a simple question but he lied to me about being Mr. Witt. I called back and he again answered the phone and I asked him if his name was Randy and he said, "Yes, what may I do for you?" I explained that I did not understand why he was so unwilling to provide his name and he replied "If the caller is unidentified then we do not disclose such information."and then asked, "Who do you represent?" I told him I already told him my name (by the way, my number is not blocked or private or unknown caller and he had just called me an hour previously) and what I represented was a potential customer until his shenanigans. I was completely dumbfounded. I was hoping to have a beautiful perimeter fence installed by a company given so many high ratings on Angie's List and instead I get Mr Randy Gavin being, well, you make your own conclusions.

Witt Fence installed the fence on our one acre area 3 years ago and did a fantastic job. Have not has an issue with our fence since installation. We went back to Witt Fence when we wanted to add gates, and an operator to finish off our area, we needed four gates and one operator. They came through with an economical, custom solution for our needs. Again it was a great experience. You can trust the Ed and his team know what they are doing and can finish your project in a timely manner. Thank you Witt Fence for the great job!
