Walmart Supercenter

Don't ever take your watch in there for a battery. I don't live near a jewelry store, and someone said Walmart could replace the battery. So we happened to be in the store one weekend and I asked the the woman behind the jewelry counter if she could replace it. She was busy, so I wandered around looking at stuff. Evidently she banged it on something to remove the old battery because when I picked it up, the calender was dislodged and the calender frame was inside the crystal, hung on the second hand. She started to set it, then handed it to me and went clear to the other end of the jewelry department, so I know she saw what she'd done. I've had many batteries put in that watch and all it takes is a pair of tweezers to lift out the old battery, drop in the new one and close the back. How hard is that? Unfortunately because I'd signed "the book", I relieved them of all liability so now I have to send my watch back to Seiko to have it repaired. I should have known better but the woman should have been big enough to have acknowledged what she'd done instead of rushing off before I saw it. Actually she should have refused to do it since it's obvious she has no idea what she's doing.

When you walk down the aisles and encounter a walmart employee, they actually make you move, don't speak and don't smile. Store is frequently out of stock on sale and other items.
