Security Lighting
This summer, Arcadia Electrical Company kicked off its fifth New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) job involving the installation of outdoor security lighting at the Pelham Parkway Houses in the Bronx.
Light Fixture Installation
Arcadia Electrical was responsible for all the electrical work on this exclusive, historic project including but not limited to two new electrical services, power distribution and the complete light fixture installation. Arcadia Electrical’s involvement in the renovation is of paramount importance, as their lighting will be highlighting the timeless and elegant fine watches, wedding and engagement rings, diamond jewelry and other luxury goods.

Electrical Repairs
Arcadia Electrical serves Visiting Nurse Service of New York (VNS) as their electrical maintenance contractor. VNS serves patients in all five boroughs of New York City, Long Island and Westchester, with corporate offices throughout the New York City metro area and its surrounding area. Arcadia Electrical is on-call 24 hours a day to assist with any and all electrical needs that arise within all of VNS’ offices.

Safety and Security

Smoke Detectors
While upgrading the electrical work at Rikers Island, Arcadia Electrical exhibited focused professionalism and its ability to work with additional security and safety conditions. Arcadia Electrical installed a brand new sophisticated Simplex Fire Alarm system in each facility at the Riker’s Island complex. Arcadia Electrical also installed numerous Digital Generator Panels (DGP) throughout each facility with thousands of devices embedded in miles of galvanized conduit. New local feed for new DGPs as well as conduit and wire for a low voltage loop were installed through the complex. Over 4,500 new fire alarm devises were wired, including S/S, strobes, manual pull stations, area smoke detectors, duct smoke detectors, fan shut down relays, damper relays, tamper and water flow modules, door release relays, fire pump modules, purge control modules, Ansul system modules and beam detectors. Older fire alarm systems were removed, and new systems were pre-tested in all areas with a fire alarm consultant, an engineer and a New York City Department of Corrections professional.
Fire Alarm Systems
Arcadia Electrical was contracted throughout libraries across the five boroughs in New York City to install and upgrade fire alarm and security systems. Arcadia Electrical’s highly-trained field professionals installed these critical systems working throughout many of these facilities that were historical landmarks throughout the city.
Intercom Systems
New York by Gehry (Beekman Tower) is one of the tallest residential towers in the world and a stunning vision of architecture and luxury. This complex project included over 900 apartments. Arcadia Electrical was responsible for the low voltage package for the entire building, including installing the Wi-Fi system, data, telephone, RG-11 coaxial, security cameras and intercom systems. Arcadia Electrical built the main MDF room in the basement and IDF closets on every three floors. All rooms had plywood, ladder racks, patch panels, 66 and 110 blocks installed. Cable TV and intercom panels were also installed. The riser wires were installed from the MDF room to the 75th floor. Low voltage wires were installed (cat 5e, RG-6, intercom) in every apartment and punched down in each NID box. Arcadia Electrical installed all jacks, connectors and tested all cables with a Fluke data scanner for quality control. Arcadia Electrical worked with Forest City Ratner, TM Technology and Gehry Architectural in California to complete this project on time and within budget.
