Tree Removal and Planting

Tree Removal
We were very proud to be a part of the Deep Run Park Pump Track Project in Henrico County.Â Truetimber donated the tree removal and pruning necessary for the track, and then had a great time shredding it at the grand opening.Â We will offer ongoing support to monitor the trees surrounding the track for safety and necessary management.
Stump Grinding and Removal
The dirt/woodchip combination can be used as fill dirt or weed control in wooded or natural areas, and most of our clients find a use for it somewhere on their property. Stump grindings are not usually recommended for use around pH sensitive plants.Â Â If there is no suitable use for them on your property, we recommend using a landscape or lawn company to haul away the excess debris. Arborist Services
Each of Truetimberâ€™s employees has been trained in proper pruning technique. The cutting is done in a way that meets the industry standard (ANSI A300 Pruning Standard), and the movement of the arborist within the canopy of the tree is done in a way that minimizes the impact of the process.
Tree Mulching
Itâ€™s extremely common in an urban environment for a tree to be planted too deep or for mulch to be built up to an excessive level, or burying a treeâ€™s root flare by changing the grade. Over time, this can lead to stem-girdling roots that can encircle a treeâ€™s stemâ€”or trunkâ€”and prevent the uptake of nutrients. An arborist is then able to determine and prune roots that may be growing in a way that is detrimental to the treeâ€™s health.

I am extremely excited to be a part of the Truetimber Team.Â I come from a 13 year background at Bartlett Tree Experts where I started my career in Charlottesville climbing and performing plant healthcare after graduating from Penn State with a landscape design degree.Â I spent two and half years in the field in Charlottesville and then moved to Richmond in January 2011 to begin selling for the Richmond office.
