        Established in 1968, J. L. Francis Elementary School serves students in kindergarten through grade five. The school s academic curriculum includes English, math, physical education, history, science and Spanish. It features a courtyard, cafeteria, tennis and basketball courts and other recreational areas. The school enrolls more than 530 students annually and is located in Richmond, Va. J. L. Francis Elementary School has a library that stocks various types of books and reading and reference materials. It has a work force of more than 60 employees, including teachers and support staff. The school has a parent-teacher association that encourages the participation of parents in various school activates. It is a part of Richmond public schools, which operates various high, middle and elementary schools.

        What a Blessing!

        I am a second grade teacher at J. L. Francis Elementary School. I have witnessed the joy on my collegues faces when they have been blessed with request that will benefit our students. This program is truly a blessing. Many teachers spend their own money on things that are needed for students that are not supplied in our school budget. May all that provide be forever blessed. We are grately appreciative.
