Overall

This place is awesome! Stopped here on a long trip with our dog, only $15 extra for her to stay in the room and the rooms are only about $60. Very clean, nice beds, tons of pillows and good hot water and water pressure; big mini fridge, USB charge outlets on the desk and outlets on all the lamps. 100% recommend to anyone for a quick stay with their pet.

Overall

Needed a place to stay, and they were very accommodating!

Place was packed for the weekend, and the clerk was very nice.

Room itself was nice and clean, and the amenities were really great. Microwave, refrigerator, AC, TV, and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was clean, and the shower ran well. Breakfast was fruit (bananas, apples), oatmeal, juice, bagels, and cinnamon rolls - really good for continental!

Would come again, thanks Thunderbird!

Overall

My boyfriend and I stayed at Thunderbird Lodge two weeks ago for just a day, as we were heading from Washington state to Southern California. I definitely wanted to write down the pros & cons of this hotel, for future guests to know ahead of time.

Pros - you won't hear a lot of noise, as long as your room is on the same side as the office; the parking lot is safe; the rooms are very clean; the rooms have a good-sized fridge, a microwave, and a desk; the restaurant in the parking lot is SUPER good and so is Heavenly Donuts (right around the hotel, open 24 hours); the continental breakfast is really good and there are a lot of items to choose from (starts at 7 a.m.)

Great place! I booked this online and was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. Check in was fast and efficient. I was in and out of the office in minutes. The hotel has been updated. The room was very clean. Bathroom looks brand new. Refrigerator is a nice size and there is a microwave. A table and a desk with two end tables. Bed was comfortable. This hotel was also the cheapest. Pool was nice, wifi was fast and free and there is a laundry room. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants a cheap room without a cheap experience

Overall

Very nice place. Very clean. The woman at the front desk was really great. She was really kind and helpful. Good pricing. Well kept place. I like it that you can park your car in front of your room so you can keep an eye on it while staying there. They say they have 17 security cams, all night lights, all night staff, so I felt pretty safe here. Price for me at this off-season time was 69 plus tax. Nice fridge (that is a decent size, not one of those tiny ones that will fit one loaf bread and that's it) Microwave, coffee maker. I'm getting paranoid about bed bugs so I did a search of the bed before I stayed here, and it was totally clean and in order. NO bugs at all. I like how they've set up the beds to minimize chances of problems, with a pedestal that reaches to the floor, so there's no place for anything to get under the bed and the box spring is wrapped in a washable sleeve. I love seeing such great precautions taken. It means these people really put effort into taking care of this place and keeping it nice. I will be back.

Overall

Redding is exactly half way between our former home in So. California and our new home in Washington. With our SUV packed to the gills with all our valuables, we needed an old style hotel where we could park right outside our room. We planned on taking most of the things out of our car and placing them in our room overnight for safekeeping. What was left in our car we wanted to be able to keep any eye on.

When we called to make our reservations, we talked to the day manager, Jay and expressed our need to be parked right in front of our room. He told us he'd place a traffic cone in our spot to make sure no one else took it before our late arrival.

We made good time and arrived a couple of hours early. When we arrived, my wife moved the cones while I backed into our space. Within a minute, a man showed up to ask why I was parking there. It was Jay protecting our spot. He didn't know it was us. He thought someone else was stealing our space.

I was surprised that he followed up with the cones in the first place. In this day and age, people often promise one thing while doing another. Not Jay. He's clearly a man of his word going so far as to defend my space when he thought an interloper was taking it. We could not have been more impressed with a Jay. What integrity and honor. Very impressive.

As for the hotel and room itself. We're glad we chose the Thunderbird Lodge. The room was clean and well appointed. The bed was firm and very comfortable after a long day driving. There is a large refrigerator, a microwave oven and a coffee maker. The air conditioning worked well which was good as it was nearly 100 degrees still at 7:30pm. The WiFi was easy to access and fast. The parking lot struck us as being very safe even though the hotel is in the middle of downtown. I guess it's because it's downtown Redding and not downtown LA.

This is a nice, comfortable, safe hotel walking distance from anything you might need. At $79 it was amazingly affordable. We highly recommend this hotel.

We couldn't be happier with the Thunderbird Lodge and plan on staying here again next time we're passing through.

Overall

I was in Redding for work in downtown location and this place is perfect for the budget I had. They make an effort to make the room look nice, the bed is comfortable, basic breakfast and wi-fi included. Coffee-maker, hairdryer, refrigerator and ironing needs are available in the room. Great location. You could walk to many conveniences nearby.

Overall

Great place to stay for the price. Easy check-in, comfy beds, A/C + Heating, TV, all parking spots are visible from the rooms. Travel size toiletries in bathroom. Comp continental breakfast in the morning with the basics (cereal, pastries, yogurt, fruit, coffee, juice). Pool was clean even though we were there in the dead of winter and it was COLD.

Super close (walking distance) to a bunch of eateries (we opted for the pizza joint since they had a vegan cheese option)!
