Bernville Quality Fuels

I have had a good experience with Bernville Fuels. Rate is great and offer to come out monthly to fill up my propane tank. Other places would only come out when tank gets low. It really helps with budgeting to have them come out monthly. Repairs to my fireplace went really well and the service was great. Very friendly staff.

I purchased a home with about 35 gallons of oil in the tank. I called for a fill up and I was told because I am not an existing customer, someone would call me back next week. I explained I didn't have enough oil to wait until next week and I was told there is nothing they can do. It must be nice to be a company with enough customers and not want new ones. Last time I will call Bernville Fuel.

I never go out of my way to write a review, but I feel I need to this time. I called Bernville about a week ago to get my 500 gallon propane tank filled. The gentleman I spoke with, Ron, was very nice to deal with. He sent me an application for service along with a letter I needed to have notarized as proof of ownership of my tank. I did all of this, and sent all of the signed documents back in a timely manner. Bernville denied me service because my credit isn't very good. I wasn't denied through a friendly phone call, but rather an email! How impersonal! After I received the email I called and stated that even though my credit isn't good I have all of the money in cash to pay for propane up front. I was still denied. I am now almost out of propane. I have a four year old daughter who I certainly do not want to be cold. I call this discrimination. I called another local propane provider and they said that they were not taking on any new customers. When I told them how I was treated by Bernville simply based upon my credit they couldn't believe it. The woman at the other fuel company said that even though they really aren't taking on new customers right now they will be out to fill my tan up in two days. Now that's service. She never asked about my credit. i told her I would pay for all 500 gallons up front, and that was good enough for them. This company will get my business.

This is the worst oil Co. in Berks Co. They keep loosing there employees because of poor management. They were sold two times in three years and to out of State Company's that dont care about the local people. The guy running the place is local but as crooked as they come. He stole $3,000.00 from me in vacation money while I was off work sick on workmans comp. All he has time for is how to shaft the customer. I worked there so I know the ropes. Customer beware find a local oil Co. to deal with and stay away from Bernville Fuels they will rip you off. Chet Miller
