Benjamin Schlechter, MD, FACS

Dr. Schlechter removed a growth between my left eye and nose 5 months ago; it turned out so well that I forgot about it.
I remember the mucous cyst Dr. Schlechter removed from my right thumb because it was only 10 weeks ago, not because it bothers me, but because I have full use of my right thumbnail; it hurt too much to use my thumb before surgery.
Twenty years ago (I'm 75), 20 years ago I began experiencing leaking bursa sacs in my thumbs and 2 fingers. I mention it because the gifted plastic surgeon, Dr. Schlechter removed the cyst without compromising the bursa sac! It's a great accomplishment.
Five years ago, a leaking bursa sac on my left thumb got so large, I asked my primary care doctor to drain it (I wear Coban to protect my joints and prevent fluid from disfiguring my hands; it had fallen off and I didn't replace it in time). My PC DO drained it; I wrapped it with Coban and it is fine 5 years later, but it is a nuisance replacing the Coban wraps often.
Two very competent procedures by a surgeon who wouldn't have it any other way. Thanks Dr. Schlechter; your staff is great too.

Dr Schlecter is awesome! I love him. His staff is a lot nicer now than they used to be. They used to be very stuck up and literally talk about a patient while they were checking in or out and made people feel belittled. I am not sure what happened, but now they are very very nice.
