Dads Tacos And Burritos

I had Dads Tacos and Burritos cater my best friend’s Wedding for 100 people in Riverside and they did an absolute amazing job. I’m not a person who usually writes reviews but when a job is well job, it needs to be acknowledged. They showed up right on time, the servers were polite and attentive, and the food across the board was delicious (chicken, carne asada, al pastor, rice, beans, chip/salsa, quesadillas). Guests were complimenting how tasty and flavorful the food was. To top it all off, best price around (very affordable). I called about 10 different Taco Man and by far, Dads Tacos and Burritos had the best price for a variety of food we received. At the end of the night, servers packed all the extra food that was left over to leave for us and left their work area clean. I definitely would recommend Dads Tacos and Burritos to anyone; I will certainly be using them again in the future.

Showed up late, I got two different stories on why. One was traffic the other was car trouble. Wont be using these people in the future. The Grill looked pretty dirty, ran out of plates...

I used this service for a large party and they showed up 2 hours late!!!! They gave very little apology and did nothing to make up for serving so late. They also ran out of plates and silverware. The meats were extremely salty. Not someone we will ever use again!

Where do I start, let me just say that I would NEVER recommend Dad's Tacos, I have never had such bad service. It all started with them arriving 45min late, that of course through off the entire agenda and they still packed up on the scheduled time and charged me just as much. The food was average but the service was horrible, I will never use this catering service again, in fact I have to say that even after speaking to the owner and explaining the issues at hand (the late arrival, the amount of food provided and the service) all he did was defend his employees. But here is the kicker, the employees were eating BEFORE and IN FRONT of my guests, REALLY.....This was just terrible, my guests were watching them serve themselves and hide the food under the table and they were all starving because we had to wait for them too arrive, set up and then eat first!!!! The worst part of this entire experience was that they didn't even apologize they just had excuses after excuses, and they even had the nerve to charge me more money because they "supposedly" ran out of food and I had to order more which they just happen to have but for more money, what a rip off!! Oh yeah, and their set-up was nothing like they said it would be, I could have done a better job on my own for alot less money!!!! ALL I CAN SAY IS IF YOU WANT TO USE THEIR SERVICE AFTER READING THESE NEGATIVE POSTINGS GOOOOD LUCK!!!!!

Our event was not a wedding but a baby shower. The reason I'm listing my experience on this wedding website is I would hate for someone else to be victimized by Greg Olguin from Dad's Tacos and Burritos. My sister-n-law and wife secured them to cater our baby shower costing $540.00 for 2 hours of serve time including 3 meats (beef/asada, chicken/pollo, pork/al pastor) for 80 to 90 attendees but not to exceed 90. The overall experience and service was a disaster, their flour tortillas were moldy so they couldn't serve them. They limited our guests to 3 tacos for the initial serving with a dab of beans, dab of rice and deep fried tortilla chips. The 3 taco limit was a shock since this wasn't disclosed on the paperwork or at the time of the tasting. We had roughly 50 guests and not even half of the people went back for seconds because of their experience with 3 taco limit. It was apparent they were stretching the food. They actually ran out of corn tortillas during the second hour and my wife's sister had to get packages of her own corn tortillas to give to them. Also wanted to note, at the time of the tasting we noticed the corn tortillas were larger than usual and Greg confirmed those would be the size he'd use at our event but on the day of he switched to small corn tortillas. We also agreed there would be a choice of nachos, burritos, or tacos but this never happened. The paperwork clearly showed "buffet" and "taco bar" and at the time of the taste sampling Greg said he'd provide the 3 food options (nachos, burritos, tacos). At the end when his employees were collecting the balance I let them know the problems with our event and they got Greg on the phone. He was extremely defensive from the onset of the conversation and was outraged that I was implying he shorted the food. Greg wouldn't listen, kept interrupting me and tried to play down the issues explaining he's been 12 years in the industry and knows how to order enough food and has NEVER had an experience with running out of food. He also denied the agreement of providing 3 food options (nachos, burritos, tacos) and explained he stocked our event with 120 plates and all those plates were used therefore he provided more servings then contracted. His story and excused had so many holes, he began to contradict himself during his explanation, saying..."this isn't my 9 to 5 day job which seems to contradict his implied expertise via 12 years experience...moldy tortillas, I can't inspect every package of tortillas I get from Guerrero..." I hope this helps, please beware and if you choose to do business with this shady character then get everything in detailed writing.

I used Dad's Tacos and Burritos service for the first time this past weekend to cater my son's graduation party and have nothing but great things to say. The employees were a few minutes late, but they kindly called and advised they were stuck in traffic (there was a bad accident on the freeway). No big deal, as soon as they showed up they quickly got to work and started cooking. The food was gooooood! All our friends and family kept complimenting the food. The employees stayed the required length of time and were very courteous. I will definitely use Dad's Tacos and Burritos again! Thank you.

Do not hire, waste of money, do not hire, ripped off, can't cook!!! bad food!!!
