Easy to install, the 2x3 and 4x4 posts come pre-cut and have an eased edge. The Cedar rail kits include top and bottom rail, balusters, and post. Insulation
A hybrid log home provides the look of a solid log home while providing a super-insulated R-30 wall or more. It typically features framed construction and log accents combined with other construction materials such as steel, concrete, glass, and insulation, to create a unique and contemporary aesthetic while maintaining the natural beauty and warmth of log homes.
Caulking
An external foam backer rod — Fits into the profile of each cedar log, which is grooved to accommodate it. This provides a non-adhesive surface so the caulking, which acts like an elastic band that expands and contracts with the wood, will stick only to the upper and lower wood surfaces of the groove.
