Joint Replacement
NHC HealthCare Pulaskiâ€™s private and spacious campus is home to a 94-bed post-acute 24-hour skilled nursing Health Care Center. We see many individuals who need skilled nursing care after a stroke, joint replacement surgery, a cardiac procedure or a serious illness.
Knee Replacement
“About six weeks ago, I underwent total left knee replacement. Indecisive about my after surgery care, I was led, through advice from trusted friends, to NHC – Pulaski. I could not be more pleased with my choice. From my first day as an in-house patient, through my present out-patient status, the NHC Rehab team has worked diligently to get me back on my feet again. They had a rehabilitation plan, patiently carried out, assisting me with my goals. Mind you, it wasn’t always easy, but with patience and determination, I was guided. I realize these professional men and women are well educated and highly trained for the tasks of improving lives, however, caring, patience and compassion, for the patient, comes straight from the heart. I will forever be grateful to Eric, Chad, Audrey and others who have helped me reach my recovery goals. NHC Rehab – Pulaski has won my vote of confidence! Thank you all!”

Physical Therapy
“NHC HealthCare is NOT a nursing home. I learned this through an extremely eye-opening experience. In February 2013, I had a total knee replacement. After debating with both my surgeon and insurance company, I decided to go to NHC to get started with my rehabilitation. The second I walked in the door my opinion immediately started to change. Everyone from the admitting staff, to cafeteria workers, nurses and physical therapy staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. Within a few hours of being there, I had my first visit from the physical therapist to get me started with exercises I could do in my room to help me progress more quickly. After 7 days of being there, I went back to my doctor to get my staples out. He was absolutely amazed at how far I had advanced in such a short amount of time. I was almost a month ahead of schedule. I was discharged from NHC that day but decided to return there to finish 6 more weeks of therapy. The care and compassion I received and observed others receiving at NHC during that one week was above and beyond anything I could have ever imagined. My outlook on this facility has been forever changed. I will never be able to express enough gratitude to the staff at NHC HealthCare.”
