The guys arrived a half hour before our scheduled start time, and did everything that was promised and then some! Carlo, Edmond and Barry worked hard and got everything from my old place into my brand new apartment within two hours. The quote was fair and firm, and they stuck to it! After having a bad experience with a well known moving co., I was so lucky to find B&J Moving Co. It is by far, the best moving co. in the tidewater, hampton roads area. They are extremely professional, trust worthy and their price, I promise you can not be beat especially for the quality of service this company gives. There are no surprises. You know exactly what your move is going to cost and this mainly because of the owners involvement in the beginning.

The owner, Barry, is very hands on. He comes to your home before the move to see what is being moved and this is after you have filled out a brief inventory of the house hold items to be moved on line. You will know exactly what the move will cost and Barry makes sure that you are totally satisfied before they leave.
They have moved me more than once and nothing was ever broken. And I have to point out that they are patient movers. They don't act like they're running a race as soon as their truck pulls up. They were even nice enough to move a rather heavy piece of furniture to another spot for me after I didn't like the original spot I had told them to place it. They didn't display any form of hesitation or being just a little "tiffed" with me. All of the movers awesome.
So, if you want a great move all the way around, from beginning to end with no surprises, B&J Movers are sincerely the best Co. out there. I wished I had found them sooner. I highly recommend this company.

I've moved all over the country and I have never had a better experience than I had with B & J movers. The owner of the company was involved from start to finish with the move - he takes pride in his work and it shows. Getting a quote was easy, the price was great, the service was professional and timely, and there was never a feeling that my belongings were not in good hands (if you have moved a lot you know what I am talking about). There were no hidden charges or unexpected limitations put on the move. And most importantly, they were patient and polite with me and my family during a stressful time. I wish the national van lines could take lessons from these guys.

The guys at B & J Moving are quick and efficient. They arrived on time for the move and had everything loaded quickly and off to the new house. They took care with my furniture and other items to be careful not to scratch or dent anything. They were very careful to not hit the walls and were as careful as possible going thru doorways and tight areas. They were prepared with the right equipment to move things and had lots of blankets to cover things to prevent damage in the truck. The guys were friendly and respectful. I highly recommend B & J Moving. They are reasonably priced, quick, and efficient in their services.
