Dr. Cooper and his staff were very knowledgeable and accommodating when us out-of-towners had dog emergency (gravely ill). Extremely patient and professional and compassionate. Doc and his crew made 'the final' house call to the motel. I will repeat, very patient with me; I was a mess. It's all a blurr. I highly recommend Portage Veterinary Clinic. And Portage, WI in general. Real mid west American hospitality. Thanks to all for making us feel welcome.

When I had to make the aweful choice of putting my dog down after him losing the ability to walk a year earlier Dr.Copper and his staff were beyond excellent!!! He was very reasuring that it was the right choice and let me cry. His assistant even came into the waiting room while I was holding my dog, crying just to rub my back and give me tissues! They let me out the back door with my dog, and a few days later I received a sympathy card from them. I know that I will never trust my pets to go anywhere else. I know that they are truely there to help and are so understanding and caring.

Dr Cooper and his staff are very eager to help you and your pet every visit. They let me remain with my dog as long as possible before and after his surgery and treated him like a patient with a concerned family...not just a dog.
