Mike's Painting painted my house. The owner promised a good job, but the trim out and detail were very sloppy. When he was asked to fix some of the problems, the owner became abrasive. I cannot refer or recommend.

I’m not one to write reviews but being a 29 yr old female I feel this is a must. Its 4/30/15 and Mikes painting just left my house upon my demand. My mother owns two houses in port charlotte that are right next to each other, the one I rent from her is being re-done so we had to take everything out and move it to either the porch or garage. I was in her house getting ready for work while Mike’s painters were at the other house painting. I heard some commotion coming from over there so I looked out the window to see what was going on. I watched for 20min. as one of the painters (that didn’t know I was over here apparently) search through my medicine cabinet and proceeded to walk out on to my porch and start looking through my drawers of clothes. When he found my underwear draw he picked them up and started searching through them. He closed it and went back in the house (while smoking a cigarette) ……but I guess he didn’t get his fix because he went back out to the same drawer to pick them up and sniff them! At this point I ran over and told them to get out. When Mike the owner came to get his stuff he called me a liar and said his guy would never do that. I asked him why he thought I would make something like that up when he knew how excited I was to have the house painted so I could move back in. What he said next pushed me to tears. He told me if I wanted the house painted that bad I should have just kept my mouth shut! I can understand having a bad employee, and that things happen as a business owner that can sometimes be out of your control at the moment……..but to treat your customer like that is unacceptable! If you’re looking for a good painter DO NOT HIRE MIKE’S PAINTING!!!!!!!!!
