Love these guys! Very proffesional family owned business. Very helpful. They did not only tell me what was wrong with my vehicle, but the mechanics took the time to explain and show me hands on what the problem was with my Toyota. That shows they really care. Awesome price and great receptionist!! Within a few days, I received a 'handwritten' Thank you letter...that was the icing on the cake. Plainfield Automotive is my new place for auto repair.

We have been bringing our cars to Plainfield Automotive for at least 10 years, and could not be more pleased with the service, efficiency and courteous staff. They have gone above and beyond what the average auto repair shop does by giving us a ride back home, providing a loaner vehicle (at no charge) if the repair parts were not yet available, and always giving us a price quote, before the repair. It is hard to find a reliable, fair and honest auto mechanic, so when we found Tom owner of Plainfield Automotive we knew a place we found a dependable, reputable business. We highly recommended him to family and friends. They treat us like family.

I do not work for this company or have any relations to them, I am just a customer who can tell you that this repair shop is the only one I will ever go to as long as he stays in business. I have taken my daughters car there for brakes they beat other shops by hundreds of dollars... no lie... I was so impressed by their service and honesty that I also took my suv there also for brakes. Just recently my daughters brake lines were completely rusted out gas lines are next... they were repaired and they stayed beyond their normal business hours to repair the vehicle so that my daughter would have a working car for the holidays! I could name another repair on my suv but my word alone about how fantastic a business Plainfield Auto is ... is enough said.... you can honestly trust them and I love that they are a family business who are not afraid to post messages on their business sign about God!

Plainfield Automotive charges a very fair price for ALL work done on my car. Now my parents even go there too! I have and will recommend going here for anything. Tom had many years of experience and also has a great network of others to bounce ideas from (he did this with my dad's car and fixed a problem in about 10 minutes that the dealer couldn't fix after 5 times).
Even my grandma who lives out of town is going here for her suspension. A lot can be said to make an hour drive to a mechanic shop.

Easily the best service I have ever received from a mechanic. The staff is amazingly friendly and willing to go above and beyond to make sure they can help you. I recommend them to everyone.

We have used Plainfield Automotive before. Pleasant and professional. Got quote and the finished bill was the quoted amount, how often does that happen. The bill was about $200.00 less than what the dealership and other shops quoted us. Work that we have had done in the past was done correctly with no problems after the work was done. I expect the same thing for the rear brakes that were just done. We trust and recommend them hands down.

Plainfield Automotive was advertising brake repair for $199. I needed my rear brakes replaced and I know the dealer would charge me about $400. I stopped in and told them to check my brakes. The mechanic told me my front brakes were still good but my rear brakes were metal to metal. He replaced the brakes and while he was test driving afterwards he found a badly worn control arm and ball joint assembly.

I have been coming to Plainfield Automotive for many years now. I love the friendly and professional service I receive from everyone. Most of all I know I can trust that I am getting the best deal and that I am getting what I truly need for my car and nothing else. Before coming to Plainfield Automotive, I always felt taken advantage of by other shops, not knowing much about the mechanics of my car. Tom the owner and very experienced mechanic, always takes the time to explain what needs to be done and always lets me know what future things I may need to have completed.
