Crystal Cleaner

I drive by this place on a daily basis so I figured I'd give them a try. I am new to the area and was looking to establish a relationship with a reliable dry cleaning service that also did alterations.



I dropped off two pairs of slacks for alterations. The owner, Mr. Young Kim was extremely helpful and nice. I was told that the alterations would be ready for me on a Friday, which was odd because industry standard is typically two days, but I knew a holiday fell in the middle of the week. I was instructed to give an extra day because of the holiday.



I called on the day that the pants were due to be ready and was informed they were not done. We are now going on 4 days with out fulfillment of service. I called back on Monday thinking that the pants would be complete and was told only one pair was done. The excuse given was that the individual who does alterations went on a vacation and the pants would be ready the next day. We are now over a week, and still no pants. Finally I go to pick them up and try them on. They fit well, however I began to politely explain that the pants were 3 days late. This is where things went terribly wrong.



Mr. Kim became belligerent and angered by the fact I was seeking a discount for failure to complete service on the agreed upon date. He angrily informed me that he is not going to make money on this and that I, the customer, was being unreasonable. He asked me how much I was going to pay and I offered an amount only a few dollars less than his cost of sending the pants to be worked on. Mr. Kim then began to tell me to get the f*** out of the store and never f***ing come back. He cursed at me several times saying he doesn't want to see me f***ing face anymore, and said if I were more polite he would have given me a discount. I never once was impolite in any way I only explained that the pants were due 3 days prior and that I was needing them to be done then, I even waited an extra day.



In the end there is no excuse for a business owner of any kind to treat a customer this way. The verbal attack was uncalled for, the lack of any sort of professionalism, and the utter failure to produce in the agreed upon time frame is totally unacceptable in the service industry. I urge people to forego bringing their business to Crystal Cleaners. This was the most unprofessional business encounter of my life. Horrible doesn't even begin to describe it.
